Took the new N45 hiking shoes on an 8-mile, rough trail (half stone, half Class 3+ scramble). They were as comfortable as my trusted Mountain 600s, with no issues throughout. Bought a size up, which worked perfectly. Only downside? Limited color choices for women—just two options.
Great hikers for City and Outdoors
Found while wandering through site and fell in love with the color. Have now worn walking miles in Boston city street and through dirt and sand in Egypt. A perfect pair of shoes. Any issues? Shoelaces are long so they have a large bow.
Try Men's shoe if need larger or different fit
I generally wear a 10.5 or sometimes a 10. The 10 was a tad short, they are not made in size 10.5, but the 11 was too big. I was ready to give up when I decided to try the men's version. I ordered a men's size 9 which fit. I will be wearing these to visit the ruins in Greece as well as the Aegean Islands. I ordered the light color online thinking it would be cooler. Wished the black rubber was tan, but that is minor.
Best hiking boots ever
Best hiking shoe EVER. I've been buying hiking shoes & boots for over 40 years, and average 50 miles/month year in & year out. Have tried many brands (Vasque, Merrill, Columbia, Keen, etc) and these are positively the most comfortable, sturdy, durable hiking shoes I've ever hiked in.
Needs better shoelaces.
Nice shoes. Horrible shoe laces. Shoelaces are round and stiff. It’s very hard to tighten the shoe laces without getting rope burn.

Comfy I like they are narrow that others so adapt better to my foot shape , like the colors too
Not typical Danner quality
Clunky, cheap looking and uncomfortable. Not at all like typical Danner quality. What you would expect from a cheap knock off copy.
