Material quality issue
The shirt is comfortable, looks good and fits well. (I got it in M -- I'm 1.8m and 70 kg). However, the material pulled threads after one run. This is due to the matching Shakeout shorts' zippers snagging into the T shirt. This is a bit ironic as it's the same line within Salomon. Simply put, I'm echoing the concerns of other user reviews -- which I admittedly did not read before purchasing as it is just a T shirt. It is a shame because I've always been happy with my Salomon gear -- from outdoor winter gear, xc skis, and shoes.
Disappointing Quality After Few Uses
This is my second review. I originally gave it 5 stars, base on color and texture, but now it’s down to zero. After wearing it just 4–5 times, the fabric started thinning and is now close to tearing. I’m very disappointed with the quality.
So close to greatness
I’m an ultra runner, so I put A LOT of miles into my gear, and I love and hate this shirt. It’s super lightweight, moisture wicking, and good looking. Unfortunately when sweat builds up a bunch, the shirt turns into what feels like sandpaper and my nipples get shredded off. I haven’t had a long run where I haven’t had to take my shirt off, I bleed so much lol. For shorter distances (1-8mi), it’s an incredible high-performing shirt, but anything longer than that turns it into a death machine.
Amazing t-shirt, but...
Amazing tee for running in summer. Super lightweight and the small holes add breathability - feels like you’re not wearing anything. But had the same problem others have mentioned already, with the material getting snagged after washing. Still functions ok but for the price you’d expect better quality control.
Snags too easy
Look great and feels great but unfortunately snags started appearing the second time wearing it - was only on a walk too. Can’t imagine what will happen on a more intense workout or activity. Price doesn’t add up to the poor quality.
Comfortable Shirt
Shirt has a nice feel to it for summer time and decent ventilation. Worn on hikes and trail runs so far. No holes in them yet even with a heavy pack or water vest on. Sleeves a bit longer but still a nice fit.
Such a gorgeous color
I really like the color (ultramarine). And I love the feeling. It looks like that I wear nothing. It would be great if you could bring the light purple color to American market.
Very breathable
I purchased the Shakeout core shirt back in April, and have wore it 4 times since. This shirt is comfortable, lightweight, great for running/jogging/hiking.
New favorite
After that first wear this became my favorite gym shirt. So light and airy. Hope I didn't experience what others have after a few washes. Need more.
