Very versatile and easy to pack
Straight out the bag I wore this for a 3.5h road run through Storm Darragh. Despite strong winds, continuous rain and undulating hills, I never got cold, wet or overheated. The windproofing and water resistance worked really well. Underneath I wore a Sense Aero long sleeved shirt, on top I wore a 5l ADV Skin hydration vest - no chafing was seen on the top. I purchased both a Small and a Medium. I am a Medium in other Salomon clothing, 175cm 71kg, chest 93cm, waist 85cm. The Medium fitted True to Size and I returned the Small for near immediate refund. This top will see me through many winter training runs and events. I am very pleased, I would buy again without hesitation.
Game Changer
I used this for my 112k Ultra Marathon in the Lake District in September. It did what I asked of it: It kept me cool when I was climbing and warm when the temperatures dropped. Also, I haven't used many mid-layers that actually repel water, so I and I didn't take it off for 22 hours.
Running and hiking
High quality. I bought this to replace Sugio that I just plain wore out. I wish it was just a little heavier weight material but it is stretch which I wanted. I am between large and xlarge and hot the xlarge and it fits well especially the sleeves with thumb holes. It is a good running top in cool weather and will use itt as a midlayer backpacking. Like the zipper for venting running and the hood for backpacking. Works good to slip on when I start to chill in setting up camp at the enfdvof the day.
Excellent for cool weather or as a outer layer
This top checks all the boxes for cool to cold weather in Montana.For me having some insulation with a little wind blocking ability is key. Throw this on over a base layer and I am good to go.
Oversize
I followed the directions for sizing from guidline of the internet people and the product is oversized (too large).
