This is a very comfortable bike helmet. It fits snuggly without a lot of shifting or wiggling. The inside padding does not feel like it is digging into your head. Most importantly to me, it does not obstruct my field of vision while I’m out riding. The small visor seems like it may be there more for style than to really block the sun, but with a good pair of sunglasses, the issue is resolved. Overall, I would recommend this helmet.
sleek design and overall good product, but I had some difficulty with the sizing, the adjustable band barely accommodated my head, and after a period of biking, got a headache due to the squeeze..and was not able to wear skiing or snowboarrding to see how product performed
I received this product for free from the REI Trailblazers sampling program in exchange for my honest review. I love this helmet. It’s comfortable, light and adjustable for a snug fit. I think it looks pretty good, too. I like this shade of gray. The wheel to adjust to size of head is easy to change while wearing. Yet stays snug for reassurance and safety.
This is a lovely bike helmet. I think that I have a smaller than normal head size, so I struggle to find bike helmets that fit me well. I was worried at first that this helmet would not fit, and it only half does. I really like the float fit on this helmet. It moves very easily and is placed at a comfortable spot. It also didn't catch my hair when I was tightening it. Because of my small head, I do have to tighten it the whole way, and it still isn't completely snug when I do. Because it's still very much winter up here in AK, I've been wearing a tight gaiter/headscarf as I've been biking. This addition helps keep the helmet snug on my head. The padding on this helmet is also phenomenal. I've had helmets in the past that definitely don't have enough padding and they hurt after a long ride. Not so much for this helmet! It feels like a cloud on my head. I also appreciate the length and structure of the visor at the front of the helmet. It hasn't been entirely helpful for me this winter, as the sun has been so low in the sky for months. However, come summer in Alaska, this visor will be just perfect to block the high sun from my eyes. I'm only giving this helmet 3 stars because of the fit. It isn't entirely safe for my small head, to be padding the inside to make sure that I have a snug fit. However, I assume that anyone with a larger head with me, this helmet would be a 5 star item.
This is a very nice helmet for a good price, it is comfortable and I love the Titanium Color. I give it only 4 stars because I hate the little MIPS sign in the back that it is not removable (looks like just purchased and forgot to take the tag off :-(( I will have to find a way to cover that.
This new Giro Mips II bike helmet is SOOO much more comfortable than my previous helmet. It's light as a feather and easily fits my big head. Lots of ventilation and areas to attach lights to. I can't believe I continued to wear my old, heavy helmet for so long. I haven't given it a proper crash test yet, but I'm sure it will happen eventually. I definitely recommend this helmet if you like lightweight protection when bombing down single track.
