The fit is very, very weird. The top is quite cropped but I was able to raise my arms without exposing anything, it's kind of funny for a rashguard though. The way the collar and shoulders are cut left the top kind of floating around my neck, I don't know how else to describe it but it was awkward looking and feeling. The sleeves were several inches past my fingers as well.
This is definitely a great product for ladies with broad shoulders, and you can tell from product photos that prana's models are often slim and broad shouldered. That said, I am petite with a short torso and average shoulders, and was nervous reading another review about the breadth across the shoulders. I had ordered this in the agave color in small last year and returned it because it was too tight/not flattering. But I really needed a rashguard, so I tried again this year with a medium guava. It's definitely loose around the neck and shoulders, but not oversized like a dolman sleeve. The M is fitted around my low ribs, but I am comforted by this because it means the ocean waves or falling off my paddle board won't force it up to my armpits. For reference, I am 34-35 inches at bust and 28-29 inches at waist with a petite torso. It's loose around the upper arms and shoulders but nicely fitted through my forearms and low ribs. The guava color is lovely.
It’s a cute piece to add to your bikini. The material is very thin and comes up when you raise your arms so if you wanted a more functional piece of swimwear instead of cute, I would choose a full length rashguard.
Super cute and fits well, just haven’t gone swimming in it yet so can’t speak to performance or sun protection.
