Perfect once you make a couple additions
This is a well designed, smooth and very quiet indoor training bike. Setup and adjustment is very straightforward. It works extremely well, particularly with quickly getting to new power levels in ERG mode during structured workouts. I'm really liking the setup. Only two small complaints are that I'd prefer some kind of integrated tablet holder and the handlebar/bar tape is very thin and lacks grip. I put together a RAM Mount tablet holder that's working well enough to hold my 13" iPad and put a second layer of cushion bar tape on that's made the bars more comfortable and grippy. These couple small additions have made this the perfect setup for me.
Horrible
This $2500 purchase is turning into the most expensive paper weight I’ve ever owned and for one simple reason: the asinine seat post clamp. I have tried 2 different seat posts but no matter how tightly I wrench down the hex bolt, the seat slips. It slowly slips down and rotates to the right. $2500 dollar purchase ruined by a garbage seat clamp. Disgraceful
Really nicely made, and it works great with Rouvy!
A really nicely made bike trainer! I am able to link to it my Garmin Fenix for pulse readings ("Broadcast heart rate" on the watch), and I have it liked with Rouvy for scenic rides with virtual training partners. Rouvy automatically controls the resistance of the Wahoo trainer based on hills on the route, and the gear you have "shifted" into. It's quite immersive, so that it gives you a great workout. Rouvy shows you your heart rate, and your Watts of power, on its screen.
Grinding noises
Just picked up the bike tonight, got home and set it up. Unfortunately bike makes a horrible grinding noise and resistance is extremely high just turning the cranks by hand. Nothing in the app allows me to calibrate it to remove the grinding. I have the original Tacx Neo and was hoping this could replace it, but unfortunately that does not seem to be the case.
Great for training!
Works great for training but is missing Race Mode so it lags a bit too much for racing on Zwift. If/when they add race mode I'd give it 5 stars.
