If only looks counted for everything
I use this jacket mostly to run in the Minnesota winter, and for that it is fantastic in the wind and cold. However, it is not waterproof and should absolutely not cost as much as it does. I have worn it a few times in the rain/snow and it does not hold up to anything more than a light amount of precipitation. Bottom line? If you're looking for a waterproof running jacket, consider looking elsewhere where your money will go further.
Size a little small
I ordered this on January 27 and received it on January 31. After trying it on, I felt it was a bit small-smaller than the Bionic version I have in the same size (Medium). I set it aside, and on February 27, I checked to see if I could exchange it for a Large. From January 27 to February 27 is 31 days, but I reached out to customer support to ask if the 30-day return period should count from the delivery date instead of the order date. After all, if something is delivered much later-say, February 10-it wouldn't be fair to count the return window from the order date since we can't even try the item until it arrives. Unfortunately, customer support just replied with a generic message saying all returns are within 30 days of the order date, without actually addressing my concern. It felt like they didn't really care. Honestly, I expected better from The North Face.
AWESOME
This jacket is awesome - its versatile and fits extremely well. I like the small details like the slightly different cut to the end of the sleeves that make it fit even better. I've worn this on runs and into the office - I'd buy another one in dark blue or gray.
Overall great product worthy of The North Face name!
I got this for hiking and power walking. So far it's great, although I haven't been in rain yet. It's nice and light and fits true to size. A couple of side pockets would have been nice but I understand that they would come at a price of extra weight.
Highly recommend.
Great jacket. Too light weight for my needs. Better suited for trail running and vigorous outdoor activities such in mild/warm conditions. I needed something heavier weight to beater combat wind, rain and snow and keep me warm.
Great until it delaminates
Used the jacket twice, not even running, just around the house in the rain. Material started delaminating at the collar. Returned through warranty dept
Essential
Though expensive, and if you can make the purchase (thanks, Klarna), I feel like this is an essential piece you're running year-round in the mountains.
Great lightweight running rain jacket
Very light weight and folds up nicely for storage. Was not too hot when fully zipped and running. Really like the double zipper design
I would never buy this again
I bought this jacket for 3 month,on the second month parts of the futurelight membrane was broken.
comfortable slim fit jacket
not only good for runs, but also good for daily use to adjust body temp
