Light, bouncy and stable! Cool looking too:) My first time buying Saucony running shoes and I’m impressed👍🏼
I jog 2-3 times a week but it’s limited due to multiple knee surgeries. An MRI last month revealed a torn ACL, and medial lateral meniscal tears along with bone contusions. I’m a 5,9” 210lb overpronated 44 year old so I have all that going for me lol. The pain is minimal while running in these shoes. I’m not breaking any speed records by going at a 9-9:30 m/m pace (sometimes (11:00 m/m pace) for 3 miles, but these shoes allow me to keep doing what I enjoy. I don’t run to lose weight or get faster. I run for my mental health. Speed and weight are just bonuses. I also wear other brands, but Saucony knocked this out of the park.
This a great show with more stability than the Endorphin series, but feels similar and has similar build and sole. I use my Endorphins for longer races like 10ks and 1/2s but training in those is probably not the best except maybe tempo runs. If you like the Endorphin Speeds, this is a very good longer trainer but without the stiff nylon technology
The Temlus are great, fitting in as a good daily trainer that can handle some faster workouts and quietly and unobtrusively give some support. All while being fairly lightweight (not as much as my Speeds, but decent given their slightly different focus). I hope Saucony keeps the Tempus in the lineup going forward.
Great shoe! As a stability shoe wearer my search has ended at the Tempus! A true blend of performance and stability! Game changer for sure! Solid job Saucony! Can’t wait for additional color ways!!
They fit well and help me while running but they are just starting to show material degradation. And I bought it a month ago
To the best of my knowledge, After the discontinuation of the Asics DS trainer model, Saucony Tempus is one of the lightest stability shoes on the market. For this reason, the flat-foot runner usually uses this shoe both in training and racing session. As a training shoe, Saucony Tempus gives me enough stability. I always feel safe and secure in this shoe. As a racing shoe, it gives me a bouncy feeling, especially at a pace below 6.45 minutes per kilometer. Nothing to complain about this shoe. If it is possible, please use the more ventilated upper like Saucony endophrine pro 3 in the next Tempus model to reduce a little more weight.
I try hard to be critical when writing these… but I honestly don’t have anything negative to say. Competitive runner. Pacific Northwest. Pavement for the most part. Usually running 5 days a week. I’m a heel striker. I could feel the contour compliment my transition. I’ve had plenty of shoes absorb my heel-heavy contact well, but I’ve never had a shoe do this AND guide me through the transition this effortlessly. The spring was great! Not too soft, not too dense… just responsive and fun! I like the rubber around the lace holes. The shoe doesn’t feel like a clamp when it’s tied tight. Lastly, they’re very stable. I feel less at risk for rolling my ankle when I’m fatigued. These are IT!! My Brooks are going in the trash.
I have been wearing these shoes for a little over a month. They took a couple of walks to break in, but have been comfortable, lightweight, and supportive once adjusted to my feet. All was great until I went for a walk after a rain and the sole became a bit of a sponge, picking up just enough moisture to creak with every step I take. Outdoors it isn’t noticeable as much, but it’s very annoying when wearing them inside where the volume of the squeak is more prominent and distracting. The shoe itself is solid, but the cushioned material that makes them comfortable is also its biggest negative in my case.
I have been riding on Saucony for a number of years and over many many miles. They are my go to shoe even with the various and sundry ailments I’ve developed as I’ve aged into my running (68 years old). However, I think these new Tempus, this is my second pair now are probably better than any shoe I’ve ever owned. My only comment is I believe they feel a little bit heavier than they actually are. I think that’s because I got the wide version and they just look bigger than the prior versions , however, I am gearing up for my next half-marathon and expected the Tempus will be on my feet. Please keep making great shoes!!
