Hiking or backpacking, these men's REI Co-op Flash Hyperstretch fleece pants provide warmth and mobility on the trail. The soft, 200-weight fleece has plenty of stretch for ease of movement.

Sizing Notes
Measurements are stated in inches unless otherwise indicated. Size chart values represent body measurements, not garment measurements.
SHORT: Some pants are available in short sizes, which generally means an inseam that is 2.5 inches shorter than regular sizes.
TALL: Some pants, shirts, jackets and parkas are available in tall sizes, which generally means an inseam that is 3 inches longer and a rise that is 1 inch longer, a shirt or jacket body that is 2 inches longer, a parka body that is 2.5 inches longer and sleeves that are 2.5 inches longer than regular sizes.
Capri or cropped pants have an intentionally shorter inseam—reference the technical specs instead of this chart.
Inseam is measured to the floor.

A good casual fleece pant
I would argue that the product description of these pants is a little off base, as I would not choose to wear them for hiking or backpacking. The pants are warm, but don't breathe very well and the amount of stretch is almost too much. Additionally, the material does not feel all that durable. Instead, I find them to be a very comfortable casual fleece pant that is great for sitting around the fire, or doing chores at the house. I am 6' tall and about 175 and I ordered a size large. The length is good, but the waist needed to be cinched up a lot; overall not a big deal, but the tie is very static, so a more dynamic lace would be nice.
Spring/Summer Hike pants
“I received these products for free from the REI Trailblazers sampling program in exchange for my honest review.” The product is well made but I'm not sure of its exact purpose. It's described as a 200 weight hiking pant. On a recent hiking trip in Scotland (rain/snow 30-50F) I used it as a substitute for my mid weight thermal pant under a rainproof top layer. It did'nt work for me . It's too loose to be thermal , I got cold .There's no front opening for a toilet break. It's a summer hiking pant unsuitable for wet / rough terrain. Pro's -Very comfortable , warm soft fleece -Good for warmish weather easy walks/hikes Con's -Too loose to insulate -Does not look to be water proof ,and does not feel resistant to scrambling -Not warm enough for cold (30F hikes) -Needs more pockets if it's going to replace the base & top layers.(ie front opening, 2 back pockets, side zipped pockets
Warm lounge pants but boxy
Warm and soft pants with plenty of stretch. Pockets are a little shallow (phone falls out when sitting) and there is a big seam that runs down the front which is a little unsightly. My pair ran larger than expected, and seemed a little boxy. Good campfire pants or just lounging but are pretty warm.
Too thin of fleece material
Product was well made, but very thin material.On top of that, REI charged me $7.99 to RETURN this insufficient pair of fleece pants. I don't think I should have to pay this, how would I know the material is so thin without buying it. I have been a member since, I believe 1979(?). I will shop other places. Not the same REI I remember.
Comfy and Durable
I absolutely love these pants! Whether it is lounging by the camp fire or with the family in the living room - these pants do the trick. Durable and flexible enough for whatever fun you may find. They are also SUPER comfy. They are my go to pant when I need a pair of fleece to put on.
My go to camp pants
These pants just flat rock. After a big day on the bike or hiking trails they are perfect for sitting around the campfire, sharing stories, and refueling for another day of fun. They are now one of the first things to go in the camper.
Extremely disappointed
I am so disappointed! Thin material, way too stretchy. I returned them immediately. Bring back the Teton Fleece Pants please.
