Received a used cooler
This rating is for REI and not the cooler it self. I’ve been an REI member for many years. I read a few reviews about customers buying a new item but receiving used gear from online orders. I guess it was our turn to receive a used item. The box already looked liked it was as a few years old. Once I opened it you could tell right away that the cooler was used. The plastic bag had holes from what appeared to be chewed up by a dog. I say dog for the reason of multiple short brown course hairs on the outside and inside of the dusty cooler. I’m extremely disappointed that REI would resell a cooler that was obviously used. So buyer beware. Grateful of REI’s return policy. When I brought it to the store for a refund the employee initially seemed to question my reasoning. Their expression changed once they looked at the purchase date and opened up the box.
