I ride in Southern California and although it doesn't get really cold like Idaho it can still be kinda uncomfortable at 15 mph along the coast in the winter. These tights did not insulate very well at all. They are very thin and I suspected I would be cold when I could feel my breath when I blew on my thigh inside before riding. I expected more. Also as you ride you can feel the material sliding on your skin as you move. Very sensuous but not what I expected. Otherwise very comfortable, pad was great, long enough for my 34 inch inseam. I will probably use these for when I want to keep the sun off my legs in the future.
