Great walking/ all round shoe.
Seems to come up a little larger but still perfect. Plenty of room, son is very happy with them.

Worth the price
My kid always complains that shoes are too tight and that they hurt him. These are a bit too roomy for his foot but he loves them and I prefer that they are a little wider for comfort. He tore his last pair( different brand) writhing a little under 3 months. I really did not want to buy expensive shoes so they could last him a month or two but so far they still look new. He comes home with torn jeans everyday and tells me he likes to throw himself when he plays soccer, I guess that’s why he keeps going through all his shoes so fast. Anyways if you have an active kid these are worth the price they show no wear and tear after a month except for the crease and the dirt on them but they are still intact showing no tears or scrapes so far.
Good shoe for wet and cold weather
These shoes are perfect for cold and wet conditions, with waterproof material that keeps my feet dry even during heavy rain. They provide excellent insulation to keep my toes warm in chilly weather, and the sturdy soles offer great grip on slippery surfaces. Comfortable and durable, they make winter walks much more pleasant.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got these for my son and they’re great. He needs something he doesn’t have to tie but with tread for hiking and playing outside for hours. These shoes fit the bill! I used the size chart on my first order and the shoes were way too big but I’m saving them for when he grows out of the ones that do fit him!
No tread on shoes after 3 months
Not only did these true start losing their tread after 2 months they were pretty thin after 3 months of light use by my child. Furthermore, REI staff gave us a hard time for returning them despite their 1 year guarantee. Which further diminishes my interest in purchasing from REI again.
Sturdy and durable
My son has with these as his everyday shoes for 9 months and we're only buying a new pair because he's outgrown them. They've been hiking, through mud and puddles, purposely kicked off in some sort of field day game . . . These shoes are indestructible! Great for active kids.
Buying as school shoes for my boy.
Got second pair. Comfortable. Used as school shoes for my boy. Only one thing, first pair lasted about 2-3 months and sole came off from both sides. My boy liked it so got a new pair. Maybe could be made to last longer. Otherwise no other issues.

Excellent! I bought these for my 7-year-old son's everyday use, and they've been wonderful. They've been exposed to water and cold, and his feet stay dry! It's fantastic! Just follow the sizing guide and choose your correct size!
