Severely faded

I am very disappointed with these trousers; they faded severely and turned red after just two washes. I would advise others to be cautious about buying them.

Hi Celine, thank you for reaching out and leaving a review. We are sorry to hear that your Kragg Cotton Pants faded after two washes. We understand how concerning that may be and we appreciate you bringing this our attention. Cotton clothing can be more suseptible to fading or colour change over time, especially when washed frequently or with items that may transfer dye. As best practice and to help maintain the original colour, we recommend washing the pants inside out and with similar colours. You are welcome to reach out to our After-Sales team so they can have a further look into this and explore any available options: https://arcteryx.com/us/en/help/product-service. We will also be sharing this feedback with our design team. Thank you for leaving a review and helping us improve.

Solid Summer Climbing Pant

[Employee of arcteryx] I tested the Kragg Cotton Pant M during summer conditions, including a full ascent of Wedge Mountain, and they performed excellently. The material is more durable than it feels or appears. During the climb, I frequently brushed against rocks, yet the pants showed no signs of damage. The fit was slightly large in the waist for me, even though I selected the smallest available size, so I used a belt for a secure fit. One design aspect that could be improved is the placement of the side pocket. On this model, it sits directly under the knee. Carrying bulky or heavy items, such as house keys, made walking uncomfortable. Relocating this pocket higher or lower would help avoid interference during movement. Overall, these pants are an excellent choice for routes involving rock scrambling. They stretch well, offer great durability, and have proven reliable in rough terrain. However, because they are made of cotton, they can absorb a lot of moisture and take a long time to dry, so weather conditions should be considered before wearing them in the mountains. I would recommend trying them for climbing activities, where their stretch and abrasion resistance are most beneficial.

Light, Stretchy and Durable

[Employee of arcteryx] One of my favorite pants!! I use this pants for indoor climbing and daily wear. I love the materials is cotton mixed and feels great. I am 5'9" and 175lbs and wear 32S size. Side pocket feature is a great add on.

First choice pants

This will be my new first choice pants for everyday usage. They're heavier than the Gamma SL (i also own), but at the end the fabric is more breathable and fresh to the skin. The comfort is top notch, they fit relaxed on waist (unlike the Gamma SL) and not tight on inseam, without being too fluffy (i'm 6.2'', 195 lb). The tight pocket is very useful to put your smartphone in a firm way while trekking, also a 6.6''. The other pockets are a little small, but do their job. The look is quite stylish, but sporty when necessary. The only doubt is the overall durability, but judging on the double seams i'll bet it will be great. Highly recommended!

Size 36 larger than other Arcteryx style pants

This style of pants are much bigger than the Gamma and Levon style pants. So very large and baggy around the buttocks, not as good fitting as the Levon style pants.

Hello James, thank you for sharing your thoughts on the Kragg Cotton Pant. We’re sorry to hear that the fit didn’t match what you were expecting. This style is built with a regular fit that’s intentionally designed to feel roomier, thanks to features like a gusseted crotch and articulated patterning that allow for unrestricted movement while climbing. That extra ease can make the pant feel noticeably larger through the seat and upper leg compared to more streamlined styles like the Gamma or Levon. We understand how this difference can feel surprising, especially if you’re familiar with those slimmer silhouettes. Your feedback is truly appreciated, and we’ll be sharing it with our product team as we continue refining our fits across the range.

Best Golf Pants, EVER!

I really like these pants. I love the cut/fit, the style, and the design of them. They have plenty of room to move around in and the stretchy fabric is amazing. The only thing I am not 100% happy with is the durability of the fabric. the very first time I wore them, I caught a snag on some scrub oak. I didn't think it was that much of a snag, but it put a small tear in shin area of the pant. After washing them, the snag isn't terrible, but non the less, you would think that pants designed for climbing would be very tough. I actually use these pants for golf so for the most part, they won't be exposed to branches and bushes. (only when I hit it poorly into the badlands.) Overall, I do love these pants though!

Problem with fly

Like another reviewer pointed out, the flap over the fly/ziper doesn’t sit flush. If you look at the model wearing the pant in the product photos, you can see the issue. One will feel that the fly is going to unzip which can be embarassing.

OK

Not bad, but not great either. Really thin material, and lots of taper on the leg, the openings around the ankle are really small. I was hoping for something that fit more like the Cronin pant, the images look like it has a more relaxed fit. They fit pretty close to an older pair of Gamma LT's I have, but with less volume in the leg below the knee. Hoping they're durable, but they definitely don't feel like they'll take climbing abuse. I wish the material was heavier(robust) and the fit was more relaxed, would be 10/10 if this was the case.

Hi there, thanks for your thoughts on the Kragg Cotton Pant. It sounds like the fit and fabric weren’t quite what you were expecting, especially compared to the Cronin Pant. We appreciate your insights on the material weight and leg taper, and we’ll be sure to share your feedback with our team.

Great quality - poor design

The material and craftsmanship / quality are great. The fit is on the large side - I am normally a 34/32 size and these pants fit me in M. The odd and somewhat annoying thing is the fly: it’s designed so short, that getting your male anatomy out for a per is almost impossible. Without this flaw I would give it 5 stars…

Nice pair of pants

Perfect fit, liked them at first site/try ! Been using the Kragg shorts for a while; thought I'd try the long pants for a upcoming trip we have this summer. Will probably be a 5 star by the time I realize they last long just like every thing Arc'teryx does. Fabric looks like it will be comfortable in all king of weather; a really good substitute for Jeans while travelling with the benefit of being comfortable while being active ! Can't wait to try them out in the elements !
