Do Everything Winter Glove
My favorite glove for winter activities below 30 degrees. I use these for mountaineering in frigid temps (think midnight starts on the second half of Rainier), and they go right back on during ski season. I run pretty warm, so I've had no issues skiing resort in sub-10 degrees conditions. If you trend cold, there's room slip a merino liner inside them. Waterproof, insulated, great dexterity for the weight, and they're easy to pull on and off to check your phone on the lift.
Perfect Glove!
I've been using the Alpinites for 2 seasons and they have been great for all but the coldest conditions. Super dexterous for how warm and durable they are, I can operate all my buckles, zippers, and other hardware with them on. The large cuff adjustment is easy to use and fits well under my shells. I've used primarily for resort skiing and keep them in my pack when ski touring in case it gets cold.
Warm and stylish, but no dexterity for small items
These seem like great gloves for the right person. For me, they were too bulky. I couldn't handle smaller items with them well at all. I know that's what liner gloves are for, but there are thick gloves that still allow you to work smaller items. Part of it is that my fingers didn't fit the glove that well. There was enough dead space on some (not all) of my fingers that the tips would crumble if I tried to grab a smaller item. So I felt extra clumsy with them on. The extra thickness of the fabric didn't help. I also didn't like how far into my forearms the glove sleeves went---it's not a ridiculous amount, but again, there are gloves that have a shorter footprint, and for me, that's what I wanted. They are very warm though and clearly water proof. They look pretty good, especially the tan and black version, which I wound up preferring over the all-black version, despite initially thinking I would like the all-black better. I wound up returning these and getting a better fit for me that has slightly less warmth but much better and fit and dexterity for the smaller items. That worked for me because I need gloves only for things like shoveling snow or for short walking bursts in especially frigid days (between parking lot and grocery store, etc). For someone doing outdoor sports in deep winter, these OR's would probably be a fine choice---so long you don't need any dexterity at all in your fingers, because you won't have that.
