hits my ankle all wrong. nice wide toe box.
I wore the old Phil mid shoes for a while. like at least 3 pairs over about 5 years. loved them. the new version is better in some ways but also unwearable for me. by lowering the height the ankle cuffs now hit my ankle bone in EXACTLY the wrong way. the old model was higher and wasn't a problem. like so sad unwearable wrong way. but the toe box width is better, as is the overall support from the stiffer sole and thicker insole. so..... if you've got a wide foot with a low ankle bone you might love these, but I can't wear them
2.0 for the win!
I've had the old Phil Mids and they worked once they broke in but were always pretty tight in the toe box and hard underfoot. This new version fits way better, is more comfortable, and still has the look I love!
