Addicted to these headphones!

I was gifted a pair of OpenRunPro headphones for Christmas last year and wore them everyday! Unfortunately I misplaced them at a NASCAR Race and had to purchase more. The sound is incredible and having the ability to change the settings to make give more treble or bass is great. I love being able to connect to multiple phones and I carry 3 phones! I use these for running, driving and find myself keeping them on all day. They are super comfortable and I hardly notice them! These have become part of my “everyday” wear and stay with me at all times! Also, changing the charging port to the USB-C was a fantastic idea! I would recommend more colors such as red, OCP (camo) and purple(my daughter’s favorite color).

Paddler Headphones

As you should expect, the sound quality from these is noticeably better than that of cheaper bone conduction headphones. (I can understand speech and words in songs better). The bass is plenty for me - (when they start to thump against my head significantly it's time to turn the volume down a bit). These are also lighter than several others I have owned. Although they have more highly rated water resistance, I am not inclined to risk full submersion paddling with them during rougher days on the water, so I have not tested them for submersion as some users might be interested in. But they have performed well with no problems so far in light rain.

Great sound quality very bad audio control program :Good and Bad"

GOOD: This is my 5th swim headphone tht I have used in the last 2 years and by far this is the best sound quality both in and out of the water, This headphone can be uses during the day to listen streamed music and has good sound quality and has good phone quality. BAD: Swim headphones (except my ZYGO transmit via FM from a base) have to use MP3 because Bluetooth cannot transmit through water. These headphones have an impressive 32GB of memory, but the program has no way to switch between song folders. you can only advance or reverse 1 song at a time! This needs to be changed! The other Shokz headphones are able to switch folders just not the Pro

open swim pros

I didn’t get the swim cap I was told I would get with them, but overall I really love my shokz, they make swimming so much more enjoyable

I like the Shokz. They

I like the Shokz. They sound great in a quiet environment but I do find the sound gets drowned out by road and wind noise when I am running or biking. Typically this is fine for music but if I am listening to an audio book or podcast it is hard to hear.

Great first impression

I’ve used my OpenSwim twice now and it’s working great. The controls are easy to navigate, it was easy to transfer mp3 files from my computer to the device, and there were no glitches during more than 2 hours of swimming. The sound quality under the water is fine. It’s not as clear as it is out of the water of course but it was as good as I could expect (note: I did wear ear plugs as suggested) The device itself fit very well. I probably did over 200 flip turns and never had any slippage. I hope i get a couple of years out of the device. I plan to swim with it once or twice a week. Fingers crossed. But as far as first impressions are concerned, I’m giving it 5 stars.

Poor battery life and updated charging cable

I've had several models of these over the years. This is the first one that barely gets a day of use before I have to recharge them. All of my previous sets have lasted 3 days. They fit about the same. Sadly, they also changed the charging cable again, so I can't use my Aeropex charging cables as spares. I like to keep one in my backpacking kit, one in the car, and one on the nightstand. Now I only have one cable that will work. I really wish I didn't buy the new design. Lastly, they do not say power off when turning off now. Instead it's a tone. I preferred the talking so I knew what was happening easier. This is the worst version I've had in the last 6 years of wearing them.

MP3 vs Bluetooth

I have been using shokz for at least 15 years and was looking forward to them to come out with swim headphones. Have been using zygo swim headphones in pool but knew I’d get a pair I’d swim shokz when released. I got them and was immediately disappointed with them. Good sound and volume but unlistenable do to breaking up. I don’t use mp3 and the fine print in user guide alluded to the need to use mp3 in water. Even while using snorkel in endless pool they failed. Bottom line is Bluetooth does not work in water. That fact was not reinforced anywhere. I listen to book when I swim and that’s not happening.

swimpro headphones

The sound quality and storage capacity exceed those of the standard shokz swim headphones. The controls are different from the standard phones and not intuitively obvious—certainly the app helps with the settings but I generally do not like to have my phone in the pool setting (I use mp3 mode, not bluetooth). It took a while to figure out that pressing the on button was insufficient to get playback, but that one must additionally hold the control button down for a few seconds. The instructions were not clear to me in that regard. Aside from that, the headphones are a step up over my older set.
