Great sound quality very bad audio control program :Good and Bad"
GOOD: This is my 5th swim headphone tht I have used in the last 2 years and by far this is the best sound quality both in and out of the water, This headphone can be uses during the day to listen streamed music and has good sound quality and has good phone quality. BAD: Swim headphones (except my ZYGO transmit via FM from a base) have to use MP3 because Bluetooth cannot transmit through water. These headphones have an impressive 32GB of memory, but the program has no way to switch between song folders. you can only advance or reverse 1 song at a time! This needs to be changed! The other Shokz headphones are able to switch folders just not the Pro
Poor battery life and updated charging cable
I've had several models of these over the years. This is the first one that barely gets a day of use before I have to recharge them. All of my previous sets have lasted 3 days. They fit about the same. Sadly, they also changed the charging cable again, so I can't use my Aeropex charging cables as spares. I like to keep one in my backpacking kit, one in the car, and one on the nightstand. Now I only have one cable that will work. I really wish I didn't buy the new design. Lastly, they do not say power off when turning off now. Instead it's a tone. I preferred the talking so I knew what was happening easier. This is the worst version I've had in the last 6 years of wearing them.
Sound quality is good…
As an iPhone user I was hoping Shokz would connect/disconnect when you put them on like iPods do. Turns out, if you take them off you must shut them off/disconnect manually. Bluetooth leaves a lot to be desired. Spouse and I both have a pair and we’ve both noticed the same poor Bluetooth quality. My husband recently told me that in order to use Bluetooth to speak with someone you have to turn the volume all the way up, then the person you’re speaking to may have decent audio reception from the Shokz user. They seem to be made more for listening to audio, than talking on the phone.
Swim pro both bluetoth and mp3 .
Its full proof in water. You can swim shower and be in rain and not worry. When recieving phone call its excelent quality. I would like to have extra charging cable. I couldnt find it on shokz website.
Best Shokz Yet
These are the most well built bone conduction headphones I have ever had and I have owned more than 4 pairs. These have no problem going from the pool to the road to the shower and back. You can make calls with them and I have not heard about anyone saying they can’t hear me clearly. The button design and conform has been improved. My one downside is that they made the charger incompatible with my previous ones. The main reason for this I think is that you can load music on to these. It is nice to have music where ever I am and not be dependent upon my phone or service.
Inaccurately described
They were advertised as red. The color is not red it is orange. Sound quality is fine but they arenot comfortable
Second pair…
This is my second pair of Shokz and have to admit that they just keep getting better and better!
2 issues prevent me from giving 5 stars
This is my 6th pair and Ive gone through 3 generations of this product. The same single issue continues: at some point the person I am speaking with tells me they cant hear me well and I sound "far" or "under water". When I shut off the headset they tell me its fine. I dont know what it is, but it's not getting addressed. Also, frequently the volume of the headset cannot raise high enough for the volume of the media I am listening to and I have to stuff one or both of the ends into my ear. If those 2 things were fixed it would be an ideal product
+sound +waterproof -player
I was excited to get the Open Swim Pro, hoping it would combine the best parts of the OpenSwim and OpenRun Pro, both of which I already own and use. This new model is more like a waterproof OpenRun Pro. Sound quality is improved, battery life seems about the same. It's nice to have 32GB of music instead of 4GB, but OpenSwim's user friendly folder navigation is missing from the OpenSwim Pro. That means it's almost impossible to navigate 32GB of music! The mobile app is nice, firmware upgrades are no longer a manual process. The mobile app includes some music navigation, but still doesn't have "next folder" that made OpenSwim usable even during a heavy workout. I'd consider this a much improved OpenRun Pro, but not a replacement for the OpenSwim.
Bluetooth-Great, Mp3-lacking
I've had this product about 3 months. I was really looking forward to a bone-conduction headphone with bluetooth, unlike the OpenSwim original. The bluetooth works great, but the mp3 capabilities leave something to be desired. From what I've read, the original OpenSwim had a feature in the app to choose different tracks while listening to mp3 files. The Pro does not? Why reduce the capability while calling it "Pro?" In this short amount of time, the right speaker also stopped working suddenly. I'm in the process of using the Shokz 2-year warranty. I understand that this failure is part of manufacturing a product. The process can't be perfect all the time. Once is a coincidence. But if it happens again, I'll definitely be looking for a different product.
