Sizing Notes
Measurements are stated in inches unless otherwise indicated. Size chart values represent body measurements, not garment measurements.
SHORT: Some pants are available in short sizes, which generally means an inseam that is 2.5 inches shorter than regular sizes.
TALL: Some pants, shirts, jackets and parkas are available in tall sizes, which generally means an inseam that is 3 inches longer and a rise that is 1 inch longer, a shirt or jacket body that is 2 inches longer, a parka body that is 2.5 inches longer and sleeves that are 2.5 inches longer than regular sizes.
Capri or cropped pants have an intentionally shorter inseam—reference the technical specs instead of this chart.
Inseam is measured to the floor.

Very serviceable rain pants
I normally order a med on non-numbered pants and have had much success. This round I ordered the men's small rain pants. I am 5' 5'' approx. 155 pds, and a 30 in inseam. The pants fit great. I appreciate the zipper and the tie at the ankle of each leg on the pants. The pants are easy and comfortable for rain gear. I feel that I could wear them all day if needed and not think twice about being restricted or confined. The front pockets do have what appears to be a zipper that holds very well. (no back pocket). I went for a 45 min walk during a mild rain day. To test the pockets I put tissue in both front pockets. During the walk about the pants moved well and my legs were dry the entire walk. As mentioned above, these pants were a perfect fit for me. The waist fit well and I was able to tie up the ankles with no issue. I had no issue w/ bagginess or pants making the swishing sound as I walked. When I returned from the walk I felt no dampness nor any sign of wetness from the pants. I decided to take the pants a step further and stepped into my shower. I stood for five minutes in the shower slightly moving around making sure every inch of the pants were wet. Good news, same results. Completely dry. When I pulled out the tissues they were completely dry as well and good as new. If I had one knock this pants at all it would be the lack of anything that is reflective on them. A reflective strip on each leg would be nice. I will be using this on my daily dog walks when it is raining.
Worth buying
I have been through a lot of rain pants. Everywhere from Cambodia to Costa Rica. They rarely live up to the title or intent, but these are fantastic. I love the material and the how it stretches. I no longer feel like I am wearing a loud ziplock bag. The seams are flat and don't rub. The front waist isn't elastic for comfort and the zippers are well integrated on the ankles. I have had them out in the rain and snow this winter and they have performed flawlessly. I even used them instead of snow pants on a hike with gaiters on and was very comfortable. A good product.
A Great Choice for Rain Pants
These rain pants seem to be very well made, they look like they will give years of use. They are light weight, much more so than I expected. So, great for throwing in your pack, and forgetting about them until you need them. They have some great features, such as zipper cuffs, so you can put them on over your shoes/boots, and keep them unzipped for some ventilation. The cuffs also feature snaps, and a drawstring to pull them tight, to help seal out not just rain, but dirt and debris from getting in your shoes. There is also an adjustable drawstring in the waist, as well as zippered hand pockets. Unfortunately, since it is winter, I did not get to try these in rain. But, I did get to try them out in falling snow and sleet. These rain pants kept my legs warm and dry while wearing them during a couple of hikes, and some dog walks. On a couple of dog walks in sleet, with temps in the mid 20s-30s, I tried the rain pants with nothing under them. Again, they keep my legs dry, blocked the wind, and kept my legs warm. They are actually fairly comfortable wearing them without something under them as they have a decent, next-to-skin feel. I am 5’5”, 160 .lbs. I got a size medium, and they fit great, except for my one complaint, the legs were too long. My height definitely factors in. Easily addressed though, I just folded the waist band over a couple of times and that “shortened” them. Although I didn’t try, I would imagine the draw string in the cuffs could help with this as well. I believe they are now offering different inseam choices, to let you dial in your fit. If you are looking for a pair of rain pants, consider these. I am really happy with them, and look forward to using them for years to come.
Great product! Light, soft, and comfortable!
After weeks with no rain, I finally got a chance to try out these pants tonight. As the raindrops started to hit my face, I stopped and pulled the pants out of my pack. I was a little worried that the 3xl was too big, even though I’m a big person, but they felt perfect and I was able to slip into them without removing my boots. They were loose over my pants but didn’t restrict movement. The pants repelled the light rain well, the drops beaded up on the surface. I really like the elastic waistband, it allowed me to reach into my pants pockets without issue. After the rain ended, I walked another quarter mile and the pants were dry when I took them off. They worked well, no water got through to my clothing, they were light and comfortable, and I like the feel of the fabric.
Excellent for winter hiking!
I live in Colorado near the front range. Winters here, can be quite cold with a lot of snow and ice. I don't ski but I do a lot of hiking when winter conditions allow. In the past, I have mostly hiked in the winter in my jeans which isn't the best in snow or rain which has held me back from going on more frequent winter hikes. Once I received these pants I tried them in the Rockies, in some early season snow and on some local trails with some good steep climbs and I was impressed. They are not only warm but they kept me dry and it was snowing during each of the two hikes that I took to test the XeroCloud pants. I only wore the pants, no long johns or liners. They were warm! Toasty warm in fact, but not hot. They allowed me excellent freedom of movement and were not restrictive in any way. The wide bottom made them easy to wear over my full leather boots. At the ankle there is a snap and a long zipper which might be beneficial for some ski boots or for venting when hanging out around the house or in the ski lodge. The XeroCloud pants kept me warm and dry in temps down into the teens and I would expect them to be able to handle even colder temps. They are light, not restrictive and are comfortable to wear.
Solid Soft Shell Pant
The XeroCloud Rain Pants are a solid soft shell layer for hikers looking for rain protection while on the trail or in camp. I experienced no wet through and breathability was quite good. Zippered/Snapped legs allows these pants to be pulled over existing garments without having to remove shoes or boots which is a big plus. Additionally the fit was big enough that I was able to wear my insulated pants underneath providing amazing comfort while in winter camping conditions. The areas that could use a bit of improvement are the small drawstring connector. It was small enough that in order to operate it I had to remove my gloves. Also pocket flaps (as you can see in the picture) face forward so if you're walking into the rain I would think moisture can seep through the zipper closure and into the pocke. That's a bit of an odd design to be honest. Finally, I'm 5'7" with a 34" waist and have a 30" inseam. The waist for these came half way up my chest and the legs were a couple of inches too short so sizing, at least for me was off. If you're 5'10"- 6" with a 34"-36" inseam you might fair better. I'll have to get these tailored a bit to fit properly for me.
Rain or snow, these are the way to go
Lucky enough we've had plenty of windy, with or without snow, as we were in the midst of winter in New England so they were put to the test on many occasions. Needless to say, they performed very well regardless of the elements and made being outside a comfortable experience. Whether that was a few hours outside shoveling, or braving a task outside with whipping winds, the rain pants heat everything underneath dry. They fit very well, were very light but didn't fail to take on the outdoors. Easy to pull over a pair of sweatpants or jeans with big enough ankle openings to fit around chunky boots. Fan of the draw string to tighten then. Snagged a large size which is normal size for most gear and felt they fit appropriately.
Didn't hit the mark... at least for me
These rain parts are made with nice fabric. I liked the soft velvety interior lining that kept the dampness against my skin at bay, but once it was wet inside it look longer to dry. I'm very tall, and found the pants to be a bit too short for a rain pant, and the overall cut was a bit bulky and square compared to what I'd prefer. The pockets on the sides are cut the wrong direction in my opinion and make putting your hands in the pockets feel backwards and tight. These pants would be okay in a pinch if you've got a 32" inseam and really need something lightweight to keep the rain off. It's not a great "real" rain pant though.
Functional needs some improvement
The fit is fine, they repel medium to heavy rainfall. I would prefer belt loops instead of the drawstring waist. There are no pockets in the back, really think this is an oversight. I am always missing not having those pockets. Material is very lightweight. I had an old pair of REI hardshell rain pants that are no longer offered and much preferred those but alas they were completely worn out.
