My go to Summer shorts

I have a 8" short tan because I wore these on every adventure this Summer. I have an athletic body and my legs and hips are thicker. The 8" shorts were the perfect length for me and didn't roll up. The material is a little thicker so you feel supported but breathable. I wear a size 10 when I am hiking or doing daily activities and wear a size 8 when I am running or doing something higher impact.

Versatile short -- love the pockets!

I have worn these shorts around town, weekend cycling trips and short trail runs. They are so comfy and stylish but my favorite thing about them is the pockets! They are large and deep enough to securely hold my phone and an assortment of snacks -- the have proven their practicality during even the most energetic endeavors. If you're someone like me with more athletic, larger thighs, these shorts are great! They stay perfectly in place, avoiding the dreaded thigh roll-up. If you're searching for shorts that offer comfort, versatility, practicality, and a fit that stays put, look no further.

Great fit and love the pockets

I bought these last autumn in my favorite color Labyrinth and have used them quite a lot and they show no wear at all (usually my leggings get quite worn quickly on the inside of the thighs). I love the fit as I often have problems with pants being too straight for my wide hips and narrow waist, but these short leggings stay in place better than most even when I'm active. I have no need of a drawstring. Surprised by how stretchy they are and this might be why they fit (I bought a size smaller than I thought I should have but they stayed up better than the bigger size when I compared them and the fit over the hips and legs was the same).

Extremely compressive and small

As the other reviews indicate, these are extremely compressive and run very small. I sized up by one size, but should have sized up by 2 or 3 sizes. They were difficult to put on and have a sausage casing effect. They seem well made, the material is are fairly thick, and I do like the length and pockets, but unfortunately these will have to go back.

Daily Wear + Hundred Milers

I basically live in these shorts at this point. From casual wear to training, climbing, lifting, and racing, these shorts are my go to. They don't ride up, roll down, or budge, no matter what I'm doing. The material is really sturdy but still breathable, and comfortable even in very warm temperatures. I wore these to run the Javelina 100 in 90+ degree (F) temps and they were still very comfortable in the heat. The side and waist pockets really shine on these. Side pockets are the perfect size for phone, wallet, keys, nutrition bars, or whatever else you want to carry, and the waist pockets are nice for a small keyring, gel packets, or other small items. The pockets are super secure - I haven't lost anything out of one yet. One last major pro is no matter how much sweat, grime, or dirt gets on these, they defy the usual athletic gear tendency and never stink, making them great for very long efforts or multi-day adventures. I'm 5'9", 140 lbs, with athletic legs and a size 6 is a great fit.

Stretched out

I bought these shorts for a 12 day hiking trip and wore them every day.I wanted longer shorts for this trip for sun protection as we were above tree line. I’d wash them at night and they would be dry by morning. I own the Essent 26 inch and 28 inch legging (all size 6) and love them both,so these shorts seemed like an obvious choice. However, I didn’t like them nearly as much as the leggings. The shorts fit larger than the leggings and stretched out during the course of the day. I would not buy them again.

Not as good as what I had expected

I found that these shorts just don't give the stretch I'd prefer. They aren't flattering (maybe cut for not my body type?), and I wish that the waist had a cinch or tie to ensure that they stay up. Also had to order bigger than my usual size (150lbs, 5'5, usually wear and eight and in these I had to get a ten). Just meh. Quality is there, but the overall product isn't my favourite for all of the reasons listed above. Wouldn't repurchase.

Solid Shorts

I was pleasantly surprised by these shorts. Usually, I don’t like the compression material that biker shorts are made of but the material they used for these shorts is so soft and comfortable. I also really appreciated the belt and pockets. It was nice to keep everything I needed for the hike on my person. Only downside of these for me is they did ride up my leg while I was hiking which was sometimes uncomfortable.

Love these shorts!

I love wearing these for running, yoga, climbing, and around town. The pockets are so wonderful to have for phone/wallet/keys. I live in these. They're not see-through in yoga and in strength training classes. These have really stood up to the test of alpine running, and long slogs.
