Great Size, but Not Tough Enough

I’m a little underwhelmed with the scratch resistance on this food container. I originally got this Container because it fits perfectly inside my 14 L tote bag. However, within only a few uses and cleanings, I noticed heavy scratches on the container walls. I live the idea and size of the container, but for the price Yeti charges for these they should have a harder plastic. Or perhaps make a glass or stainless steel container this size. Yeti should team up with D-Brand to make a good container using their scratch proof plastic. It’s a lot tougher and doesn’t scratch near as easy as these. I may just stick to using glass containers for now.

Expensive, but worth it

This is expensive, However, it is far superior to using a plastic tub, that you use for leftovers. This was a new process for me ( admittedly I am behind the times), BUt instead of putting items ( 2 hot dogs in a plastic bag, 4 slices of ham in a plastic bag, etc). I put all these individual bags into this container. Benefit 1) kept the food cold; 2) I didn't have to fish around in lots of ice to find individual individual bags; 3) the food inside the container was very cold and dry: 4) When I got home, I pulled out the container and put it in the refrigerator - front and center as a reminder to use the food in the container before opening something else.

Stout and Secure

Full disclosure, I ordered this size by accident. I was going off memory and thought what were actually the size Med were the size Large, so when these arrived, I was initially a little surprised and wasn't sure I needed food storage containers this big for regular daily use. Turns out, I was right, I don't use them regularly, but when I do need larger food storage, they work flawlessly. They are secure, leakproof, and durable (so far). Dishwasher safe makes them easy to clean. Fit well into Yeti coolers, cooler bags, etc. They nest into each other for stacking/storage. They're nice to have for those times I need them.

Lunch box does not fit thin ice + large container

The Yeti set (Lunchbox + Thin Ice + large food container) needs to be thinner to fit in the Yeti Lunchbox. The large container + the thin ice are slightly too tall to fit into Yeti’s lunch box. It would help if thin ice was thinner. Also it would help if they designed the lunch box to attach modularity to the Yeti backpack for travel. It’s designed to attach to the larger Yeti cooler bag, but for travel on the airplane I attached it with Yeti straps to my 25 liter backpack. It fastened, but awkwardly. Don’t get me wrong; I live Yeti products, but that’s because of their elegant, over engineered and modular design. Please make these improvements so I can love these products as much as other Yeti designs. Thanks.

I’ll be buying more

These fit well in the lunch box 5. You can get one medium and two smalls or one large in with a full size ice sheet.
