Great product
I've owned Thermacells since I first tried one back in 1999, I think. As an outdoorsman who hunts spring turkeys and early deer, there isn't a tool I own that'd I'd put more value on than my Thermacells. They're lifesavers. I've left my shotgun at home, and still went to sit in the woods, but if I forget my Thermacell, I'll turn around and lose an hour of hunting to go back to get it. What I love about this new design they went back to a toggle switch instead of the dial switch, which could turn on if bumped. I also like the integrated belt clip. Great product, great results. I'm a Thermacell believer!
Never go hunting without this!
I just works as promised. Windy conditions are not good for it but neither to mosquitos. When there is no wind it works perfect. We have mosquito invasion these days, yesterday I went hunting and if there weren't 500 mosquitos around me that constantly tried to attack, then there were none. I hardly could stop in order to take my Thermacell from my backpack. But then turning turning it on, 99% of the mosquitos have disappeared within 10-15 minutes. Just unbelievable, it magic! :D Of course 1-2 pcs will remain all the time but that's much better than 500.
No more stinky bug spray
I didn't think anything could be worse than South Carolina in the evening time when it came to no-see-ums and mosquitos but I was wrong I moved to Georgia it's worse here! I use the bug spray without heat and even though it's not as bad smelling is some things but still pretty bad walking around smelling like a citronella candle. My husband got me this for our anniversary and spent two days outside even in when it got dark outside and have no bites so far. I'm very impressed and delighted of how well this works. Even got my daughter one who's an avid hunter so she would be protected from ticks. We are definitely fans!!!
Not Sue
When I first got the thermacell about a year and a half ago it appeared to word quite effectively. But as of late not so much. Was out back the other evening and had 2 thermacells going right next to me and still got bitten a few times. I called you up and spoke with a gentlemen that proceeded to tell me when using that thermacell you have to lay the unit horizontally to be effective. So the next night I tried laying the units horizontal and still had no luck. When I first tried this product I loved it so much that I bought 5 units. Gave one to my son and one to a friend and kept the other 3. But now I am not as excited about the product as I originally was.
Love it, wish the clip was attached differently
4 stars because it's the same awesome thermacell i've used for a couple years now and love. The new design is more rugged with better ergonomics. One feature I do not care for is how the clip attaches to the thermacell body. It has a tendency to slip and I have had it fall of on more than one occasion. Another feature I would have liked to see is a small loop or eyelet to attach a lanyard to. When I hunt out of a blind I always like hanging my thermacell from one of the fiberglass rods. It is now harder to do that. Other than that this is a great upgrade to the classic thermacell design.
A MUST HAVE for any Outdoorsmen or Camper
On our last camping trip, we spent almost a week in the middle of The Okefenokee Swamp, then headed to Laura Walker State Park which is also on the north side of this large swamp. I can honestly say if it was not for the Themacell... we would have been drained of blood. We use 2 of these and we had ZERO problems with mosquitos... You know you have a GREAT Product when you can sit outside with shorts and no shirt and not be bothered... We have turned Themacell on to so many people, and I am glad to give this product a 5 Star review ... This is the #1 piece of camping gear that I would recommend.
Amazing Product
A year ago we purchased our first MR150 Portable Mosquito Repeller after a friend recommended it. It works extremely well. This year we went to a provincial park that is know for mosquitoes. So we purchased a MR450. This is probebly the best one yet!!!! Zero mosquitoes. We loved it so much we recommended it to two other families.
Now a believer
Bought it for a camping trip to Idaho. Some nights the bugs were terrible and I have to have the back hatch of my vehicle open to use my cooking setup. This repeller kept the bugs away and out of my vehicle, even with the interior lights on! Awesome product, I'm a believer now and will continue to use.
Awesome Upgrade, Same Great Protection
This new body design is so much stronger than the previous version, which is awesome for me because I'm hard on my outdoor gear. However, the MR450 provides the same great protection that I've come to rely on from Thermacell. I still meet a handful of folks every year who haven't heard of Thermacell, and when I show them the unit they're super intrigued ... but when I turn it on and bugs disappear, their curiosity turns into pure amazement. I try to never go on any outdoor adventures without my Thermacell, and if I forget it, most times I'm plagued with mosquitoes and regret.
Doesn't worth it at all
Didn't work with the mosquitoes of Quebec(( The one on the photo like many others stayed on me without any problem. The photo was taken after one hour and half of device operation at the same place.
