I purchased this White Duck Rover Scout Tent (8’x13’) through REI’s Re-Supply program, and it’s easily one of the best outdoor gear purchases I’ve ever made. Setup was straightforward—I took my time and had it fully pitched by myself in about 45 minutes on a calm day. Everything was complete and in great condition. The build quality stands out right away. The canvas is heavy-duty but flexible, rolls up nicely, and feels like it will last for decades. Ventilation is phenomenal—fine mesh on all four sides lets the breeze through while keeping bugs out. Even on a warm October day, it stayed cool and comfortable inside. The floor feels thick and waterproof, ideal for long stays. This is not a lightweight tent—it’s about 60 pounds packed and definitely not for backpacking—but that’s part of its charm. It’s built for serious camping, scouting, or preparedness setups where comfort and durability matter more than speed. In short: if you’re looking for a tent that feels more like a home base than a weekend shelter, this one’s worth every penny.
Great tent. I've used it for hunting camps and it's never let me down. It's quick and simple to set up. It offers plenty of room - I've used it with a hunting partner on sleeping pads and still had plenty of room for gear. When I use it by myself, I can fit a full-size cot, all my gear, a chair and more. Even without a center pole there is plenty of room to stand and move around. It's light enough for one person to carry and doesn't take up much room in the bed of a pickup when traveling. I highly recommend it!
