Very nice shoes
I do factory work as a material coordinator. So I’m walking around a quarter mile plant a LOT. I’ve only had these shoes for a couple weeks, but as of now they are very comfortable. They seem to be made supremely well, and they are incredibly grippy. I’m not sure how easily the tread wares down yet, but they are designed in such a way that they should have good traction in dirt or on concrete for a very long time, even if they do ware quickly just due to the design. If I had to rate them for my own personal use, I would rate them a 4, just because they don’t hug my ankle; they’re a bit too wide in other words. That said, I have thinner feet than the average joe and can’t knock points off for it.
I shouldn’t be this happy about casual shoes!
Ok, so to say I’m picky about my shoes would be an understatement. I’m a runner and while being particular might be normal for runners with their running shoes, this wasn’t my running shoe. I just wanted an everyday casual leather shoe to wear with shorts, jeans, and to work. And call me strange, but I just didn’t want to wear the typical retro leather shoes the big brands make. I’ve always liked the look of those Stan Smith style shoes, but I wanted something that would be a little different. To my surprise finding a pair of leather or leather alternative shoes like I wanted was harder to find than I thought. I really wanted something I could wear on rainy days as well since my casual canvas sneakers get soaked. Then I saw these! When my wife had been looking for a casual shoe earlier in the year, that’s when I saw the canvas version of the KS86 and I really liked the look of them. so when I saw they made a leather version in men’s I decide I need to try them. I read the reviews that said these ran large and that is an UNDERSTATEMENT! I typically wear a size 12 so I ordered an 11.5 and a 12 and found both were too big. I ordered an 11 which fits perfectly, but it’s the first size 11 shoe I’ve bought over 20 years, so that shows you how big these run! I love the look of them and I will update the review if they don’t hold up, but for now this picky buyer couldn’t be happier!
Poor outsole durability
My first pair of Keen shoes. The shoes are comfortable for trail walking but I am not impressed overall. Size is a little off. Had to settle for half a size more to accommodate width. My largest disappointment, however, has been the durability of the outsole. I am not sure what material is being used but there is significant wear with less than 150 miles of use. I would’ve expected little noticeable wear below 200 miles walking. The website talks about better abrasion resistance than rubber. I really question that statement.
Looks good, lacks comfort
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I didn’t end up wearing these for any length of time. I ordered online, against my better judgement, and the shoes were about half a size too big. I even used the Keens sizing guide and carefully measured my foot. Probably for the best though. If they had fit I would have been tempted to wear these for a day but I can tell they are just not going to be comfortable. I wore them around the house and I can’t imagine standing or walking in them all day, especially in a warehouse. There doesn’t seem to be much cushioning and the shoes are pretty stiff inside. I like the style and had high hopes.
Great Shoe
These are one of my all time favorite pairs of shoes. They look great and fit great too. I ordered a half size smaller than I usually do as recommended on KEEN's product page. Normally I wear a wide shoe and these don't seem to squeeze my feet as other regular width shoes, which I really like. I really hope these last a long time as I like them so much, they seem to be constructed well so I remain optimistic.
A comfortable good-looking shoe
I love the classic Keen fit of this casual shoe. It is appropriately light and seems well constructed with quality leather. It required very little break in before becoming comfortable. Time will tell regarding its durability. Dark Olive/Black was the only color option I liked, I'd love to have more color options that don't have strong dark and light contracts. A solid brown would be awesome.
First Time Purchase
For my trip out to Zion I purchased the Keen hiking/water shoe. So impressed with the support and stability. Wore it hiking daily and continue to ware it everywhere back home. Thought I would try the sneakers. Great looking shoe, actually think wearing them playing golf. Comfortable but not as stable as the hiking sandals.
comfortable and sturdy!!
Not going to lie - bought these strictly for walking my dog in all of the conditions Oregon can bring (rain, sun, snow, etc) … these shoes are comfortable, sturdy and stylish … I order my normal size 11 and after a couple long, strenuous walks through streets and trails, they broke in great! Definitely recommend!
Me s KS86 sneaker
I love these sneakers They look nice and are lightweight comfortable and have great support I am a firm customer of Keen I repeatedly buy as needed the summer carbon toe work boots as well as winter insulated carbon toe boots My feet and legs feel great wearing them all day They are well worth it!!!!
I think the pair I received has a defect.
Right foot shoe seemed a little larger than the left foot shoe. After looking at it in details, I was correct. I even pulled out the measuring tape to double check the shoe opening, I was correct. Something Keen should probably look into soon. I will be returning the product.
