Features

  • Rotational motion can cause brain injuries; with Mips®, a low-friction layer slides 10 to 15mm in all directions, reducing rotational motion to the brain during impact
  • Aerocore in-mold construction delivers ventilated protection featuring patented Koroyd material, integrated skeletal structure and Aramid filament reinforcement
  • Koroyd is an open-cell protective material that absorbs more energy on impact than traditional helmets while also increasing airflow
  • AirEvac™ ventilation offers adjustable climate control via 6 vents; can be adjusted even while wearing gloves
  • Technical-knit liner provides beanielike comfort and the adjustable BOA® FS360 fit system lets you dial in your fit
  • Wayfinder strap system featuring Fidlock® is functional simplicity, making it easy to use just 1 hand for on and off
  • Helmet offers goggles integration for maximum airflow and audio compatibility for keeping up with your crew (goggles not included)
  • Helmet is designed to match goggles-frame curvature, eliminating the gap and allowing alignment between AirEvac and goggles venting to vent warm, moist air away from goggles
  • Attaches easily to your backcountry ski pack and has a retainer clip to help keep track of your goggles
  • Beanie-compatible design; removable goggles lock
  • Compatible with Aleck, Outdoor Tech and Skullcandy audio systems (not included)
  • Certifications: ASTM F 2040 and CE EN 1077:2007 Class B

Tiny

I bought this to replace my son's Smith youth helmet. The Medium was so small that it was smaller than the Smith Youth size! I had to return as soon as we received it. As a comparison, I wear a M in another brand, and I could not even get this M on my head.

Pinched Nostrils

Medium would not fit my ears so moved to a large. They needed to be padded in the the top as the brim sits so low it forces goggles down so low, they pinch the nostrils off.

Can't breath

The BOA is system is great but goes to low behind the neck so my helmet push my googles on my nose EVERYTIME, it,s impossible for me to breath by the nose and I really hate it. I have I/O MAG and tried other googles and its the same results. . . except for decathlon child googles. . . .

Good helmet, could be better.

I love this helmet, perfect shell shape for my head but I wish they changed the liner and did ear pieces like the Vantage and other all-mountain helmets have. I don’t use the liner and it’s too cold to use without it on cold days.

Uncomfortable on the ears!

The hard inner shell comes down below the outer shell edge and over top of the ears, making it very uncomfortable. Maybe okay if you have super flat ears??? I don’t know why they’d design it this way. Returned it.

goggle clip is useless

The helmet fits ok but the goggle clip is as useful as a chocolate teapot. There is no latch to secure it and the clip itself comes out really easily hence I lost mine on a windy chairlift. Avoid

Great helmet

Second one of this model and 3rd smith overall, some good design tweaks. Just wish there was more design/colour choice. Also removable ear pads with out removing the entire liner would be great!
