These are my favorite off-trail skis.
I've had a pair of these Fischer Traverse 78s for 4 years and I love them. I've paired them with NNN bindings and Alfa Combi Advance boots. We live in the northern rockies. I track ski (skate & classic), downhill ski, and ski tour - mostly meadow-skipping (85% of the time using these skis). I would estimate that I have over 300 outings on them. They are wide enough for me to break trail, light enough for long days, & they grip and glide noticeably better than other brands of fish scale skis I have used in the past. I use the easy skins (purchased separately) for breaking trail in soft, light, snow (make sure you get the version that will accept easy skins). There have been supply problems due to the war in eastern Europe. Last year I was lucky to find a pair in my size at REI and now have two pair (should last me the rest of my life).
Fischer Quality is Terrible
Fischer quality is horrible and they do not stand by their products. Buy Rossignol, Madhus, anything but Fischer
