Great for everything
I have used it as a thicker base layer, a mid layer, and just a standard garment for everyday use. This has excellent breathability so it’s never stuffy nor does it stay wet like merino wool. It dries extremely quickly so it is also good for backpacking and travel. This will dry overnight anywhere on a chair. I have used this for multipitch rock climbs in vegas, squamish. I’ve had it for peak bagging in the north cascades. I’ve flown with it around the world from nyc to dubai to Sapporo. Great for skiing too. The fit is a bit tight but this is great for rock climbing and scrambling- what it is designed for so please don’t change that.
Almost perfect garment
4.5/5 for me - incredibly light (weighed in at 144g), warm and comfortable. I am 5'9" 172lbs with long arms and broad shoulders, and a medium is a perfect fit. maybe just a tad tight in the forearms. This would be perfect garment if there was a little bit of spandex. The seam across the abdomen makes it uncomfortable for use on bare skin, but that is a non-issue for me.
Great looking ultralight fleece
This fleece is super lightweight and warmer than heavier/bulkier midlayers. Very breathable so when you are moving you don't overheat. Performs great under a windshell for colder hikes. My favorite part of the futurefleece lineup is that it looks excellent outside of the mountains as well so I find myself using it more. Would recommend
way too small
I am usually between a small and a medium. About 5’6” 155. But this is super small. It also is really light weight and mostly mesh. Not sure how this would work other than a base layer. Does not live up to the summit series name.
thin and disappointing
This was not as warm as my other north face pullover. I do like the colors but i was expecting more insulation
