The exceptional stretchiness makes them perfect for everything from hiking to casual Fridays at the office. Compared to my Gamma Pants, the flexibility is noticeably better while maintaining ideal thickness for year-round comfort. A true wardrobe essential! While I love the product, the repeated order cancellations due to glitchy system alerts nearly made me abandon checkout twice. Please fix this technical issue - such a premium brand deserves a seamless digital experience to match its amazing products!

Nice Pants but Fragile

I’ve been wearing these pants for a few days now, and I have to say — the fit is excellent and they’re incredibly comfortable. Even though they’re made with two different fabrics, the brown tones blend really well and give the pants a very cohesive look. They’ve got great stretch too, which makes them perfect for active use. That said, the fabric is a bit fragile. I took them on a single hike through the forest, and they already showed some snag marks from brushes with branches. Luckily, Patagonia offers a repair service, which is a lifesaver. Big thanks to REI for the reasonable price — overall, a super comfy pair of pants, just handle with care!

Great Adjustable Waist!

The feature I really like on these pants is the nice velcro tabs on both sides of the waist and on the ankle cuffs. These allow the waist and cuff sizes to be REDUCED in size -- the stated waist size is the MAX size of the pants with the tabs all the way loose; for example, I ordered size 30, and the waistband measured 30 (they were true to size). That waist size can be reduced by about 3 inches LESS than the stated size, so this pair could go down to about 27 inch waist with the velcro tabs tightened all the way. For this reason, I would suggest ordering slightly large so that you can adjust down to your actual size. The waistband on these pants does not stretch much, which I like because I'm skinny and the stretchy waistbands always fall off my waist (and hence slide off my butt!) and I really don't like having to hike pants up all the time. With these, you can adjust the waist to the exact size you want, and if you get a little bigger or smaller (after a big meal, or after a longer trend!), you can just adjust to the comfort and fit you want. These pants appear well built with quality fabric. They are a little heavier than some: the size 30 waist 31 long pair I ordered weighed 14.8 oz. There is abrasion resistant fabric on the butt, knee and lower leg areas. There are 2 un-zippered hand pockets, and 2 additional zippered pockets on the front, and the 2 rear butt pockets are zippered as well.
