Exactly what I wanted for a low activity late night or early morning cold weather camping and leisurely dog stroll piece. Pros - overall very nice. Quality workmanship/stitching. Down is super warm and distributed evenly so no cold spots. Draw cords for waist and hood are easy to use with a caveat* (toggles are smallish and may be hard to operate with gloves on). One tiny standout I've not seen mentioned is the smooth inner wrist cuff material. It strengthens the wrist and makes putting on/taking off the jacket easier. Replaces the "crinkle" style cuff present on so many similar pieces over the years and is a nice change. Cons - couple gripes. First is there are only two snaps at the neck. I get the jacket being for cold cold conditions but with only two snaps, there is no way to efficiently vent without loosening the hem cord also. A third or even 4th snap would do wonders and make this a more well rounded and versatile garment. Second gripe is really just nitpicking. The interior "softness"/next to skin feel. The interior fabric isn't much different from external which is rougher than previous puffy stuff I've owned in past. While being tougher/rougher/more durable seeming and a long sleeve base layer makes this a non-issue, really just grasping at straws tbh, this thing is great for what have planned. Idk, like I said, overall awesome purpose built addition, would change a couple things if I had any say so but they are minor and don't deserve a full star reduction. Also, I'm 5'10, 170ish and the large fits just fine, glad I didn't get the medium or I wouldn't feel as comfy. Warm air is added insulation when the cuffs and drawstrings are closed
I must have bought six different jackets in the last two months (I sent them back for refunds). I bought Marmot and Patagonia, but nothing really appealed to me. I had bought a Mountain Hardware about five or six years ago (Orange zip-up) and I love that jacket, but it’s getting snug. I’ve always wanted another pullover and I now have my favourite go to jacket.
I wish that they would make this pull over puffy hoodie in a women’s size. I did order it in a medium men’s and I still love it
Definitely go one more size up than your usual. Other than that jacket is super comfortable and extra warm.
Honestly for the price this is not worth it at all
