Vasque  Horizon Low Hiking Shoes - Men's

I purchased these shoes to replace some Altras that simply did not hold up as well as I thought they should. I have to say I am sad to see Vasque going away. I have used their shoes/boots for many years and many miles on the PCT. These shoes appear well constructed and felt great from the get go. I put them to the test on a recent backpacking trip and they were great! I found them very comfortable and sturdy. Again, it is unfortunate that the quality built into these shoes and other Vasque shoes I have worn in the past is going away forever.

Good hiking boot not a hiking shoe, too stiff will require breaking in like a boot.

Comfortable, great fit, and sturdy

These shoes seem very well constructed. Stiff but fairly comfortable right out of the box. I can’t comment on how waterproof the shoes are because it’s been an unusually dry autumn in the PNW. I have not worn them on any technical trails. Only urban walking so far. Minus one star because of the strange sizing. Normally wear a 10.5 but ordered size 11 after reading reviews. The fit is not ideal. Very narrow toe box and loose in the heel. I purchased these deeply discounted so maybe my standards are lower than if I paid full price.

Ordered on line and at delivery found them very narrow, and made of material with very little give / stretch. Tried on and immediately returned to REI.

Nice shoes, comfortable and water proof. They look great and are good for easy to moderate hiking. Not a hard core hiking shoe in my opinion, but great for daily wear.

Nice sturdy leather low ankle hiking shoes; truly waterproof. Used it twice and fits perfect; however, needs to be worn a few more times to break-in.

Very comfortable and light. Slightly narrow toe box, but not overly so. Looking forward to wearing them on an upcoming trip.

The shoes are comfortable on long walks and have a good grip on the sole
