Failed in less than 5 years!
Icebreaker is not standing behind their product. I bought this hoodie in April of 2020 and in 5 years, the sleeves have frayed and I now have a hole in the arm. I reached out to Icebreaker to tell them of the failure of the item; their response was kind but dismissive. To say I was EPICALLY disappointed is an understatement. This was my favorite piece and I wore it often & in all seasons. I have no issue spending top $$ for something if I am going to get that in return - this item, for the money, is not worth it. I have other wool pieces from other manufactures that are still going after 30+ years & appreciate the quality of a good merino wool piece. To spend this kind of money on a piece that does stand the test of time is not an investment I am willing to make. Icebreaker needs to do better and should be ashamed of themselves.
Qualität hat deutlich nachgelassen
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ich habe seit vielen Jahren einen Quantum 260 Hoodie und war immer super zufrieden mit ihm. Nun war es Zeit für einen neuen - leider bin ich sehr enttäuscht. Die Qualität hat stark abgenommen. Der Reißverschluss ist von schlechter Qualität und auch kein 2-Wege Reißverschluss mehr. Der Stoff war früher um unteren Bündchen sowie an den Rändern am Reißverschluss zweilagig, was sich sehr angenehm anfühlte und den Hoodie auch strapazierfähiger machte. Nun ist der Stoff nur noch einlagig. Überm Po hängt die Jacke jetzt weit und sackartig, bei meiner alten schmiegte sie sich an. Der Hoodie geht zurück - gerne würde ich nochmal ein altes Modell kaufen!
Great travel hoodie
I like the pockets in this piece. What isn’t mentioned in the description, is that there are also two deep inner pockets, big enough for a kindle! I usually buy a M but got the large so it will go over more layers. Love the new bittersweet colour. Rich dark reddish brown. A good travel pant in that colour would be awesome!
