Amazing pockets, comfortable, no chafing
I've tried to find tight shorts that I like for marathon training and longer races. Every option I have tried has lacked good storage for gels and my phone...or has had a horrible fit. Until these! I first bought the Long Pocket Joggers....and loved them. So, I decided to give this shorter 5.25" option a try, and they are fantastic! Short (but not too bare), AMAZING pocket storage (I keep my phone and keys in the back pocket and am able to carry 8-9 large gels in the upper side pockets. And there is still storage available in the lower pockets). Even while holding all these items, the shorts stay put. The higher waist is nice--they can be worn with a crop or sports bra on hot days and it doesn't feel too revealing. The fabric is soft, stays in place, and I've had no chafing issues on long, hot runs as well as runs in the rain. I am 5'7 and about 130 lbs with an athletic frame, and I sized down to a 2 for a more compressive fit (the 4, which I would usually buy, was big when I tried it on in-store). Also, because I saw reviews on other sites indicating the fabric is see through, I want to say here that the black material is NOT see-through. Great product and worth the money!
Long pockets and stay in place
I’ve tried shorts from all brands from many places and find these to be magic. Level of compression is good without being too tight. Appreciate the manor matte instead of shiny shiny finish. Pockets are generous and there are plenty of them. They don’t ride up for running or playing tennis. Only thing I will say is there do have a wide waistband so and not drawstring. That works well for me.

Love the pockets, length (I'm 5'3", mature, so these come down longer on me), and comfort.
