Leaks, scratched easily.
My main problem with the product was that it leaks from the top each time you pour. I contacted Yeti about this and they sent me a replacement lid, which I thought was great customer care. Unfortunately it leaks exactly the same with the new lid. To make things worse, the paint is chipping in a few parts. I originally bought this for camping, but it is so nice I decided to use it only at home. I hand wash and I take extreme care with it, it should look like new. I can't imagine this surviving a camping trip. The worst part is that I tried leaving a review on Yeti's website but they have blocked reviews there. How can I trust a brand that blocks reviews from its website? I was planning on buying a $500 cooler from them becuase they have excellent reviews, but I can no longer trust them.
plastic #7
I bought this rambler French press for camping, appreciate the size and durability and the ceramic coating, however I was extremely disappointed to find out, through using a magnifier and reading the teeny tiny print on the filter, that the metal filter is held in place and surrounded by by plastic #7. There is nothing in Yeti's description that says that the metal filter, which is plunged into hot water, has any plastic components at all. Returning this, left feedback for Yeti that this is a significant design flaw for people who are looking to reduce PFAS and plastics from human bodies and the environment.
Delicious, smooth coffee at home or camping!
Makes a little more than three mugs of coffee, perfect for just me, or when my girlfriend and I are camping. I only used 1/3 cup of grounds. Does a good job of separating the grounds and elimination bitterness. The Yeti insulated cup keeps coffee hot, avoiding that burned taste from drip coffee makers which constantly heat the bottom of the pot. Although I never need to buy filters, it's a bit messy to cleanup, and I don't want grounds clogging my kitchen sink. It was worth it just to get that huge Mr Coffee off my limited counter space. The funky lime color is fine at clearance price of $87.
Great job Yeti
This thing makes great coffee. I got it because I'm a loyal fan of Yeti. I love that after making the pot I don’t right away have to move all my coffee to a cup or thermos, in addition to that I get to remove one step of the traditional French press. No pre heating the glass carafe. Glass French presses need to be pre heated with hot water because of thermodynamics. Well no broken press because, this thing is metal lined in ceramic. The ceramics also makes it easier to clean. The grounds rinse out easier. The only thing it's missing is some sort of measurements on the inside to corelate the oz of coffee you are making to cut down on waist.
Finally hot coffee with a French Press!
This Yeti French Press does a perfect job of separating the grinds from the coffee and does indeed keep the coffee hot for a longer period than my other French Presses. Stylish looking and very high quality construction and is easy to clean. Only odd issue is the open pouring spout that does pour the coffee well, but the large opening allows heat to leave. You can feel the hot temperature rising out of this opening, so am puzzled why Yeti doesn't include a "stopper" to fully seal in the heat. I am now plugging this opening with a paper towel to maximize the time that the coffee remains hot. Overall very happy with this purchase
Heavy duty coffee power house.
Just got this in the mail and made a pot of coffee. Fantastic. I made it a bit strong and it tastes great. Following the brewing instructions is a good idea. No grit in my mug. This thing is HEAVY. Not too heavy but definitely a hefty product. Everything is typical Yeti quality. I also bought the pitcher lid and it works great. I'm a little confused that Yeti didn't also offer a coffee scoop and stiring rod...seems like a cash grab opportunity that i would have fallen for, but of course i managed.
Leaky Lid
I never review anything, but I own several Yeti products and this is the only one that I have been unhappy with. The press is honestly outstanding with the exception of the lid leaking down the front when pouring. I didn’t have the issue for the first week and assumed it was user error by others. However, after that first week the issue has only gotten worse, leaving a larger puddle of coffee on my counter each time. It seems there’s not enough pressure created by the locking system at the front of the lid near the spout and coffee leaks out under the lid as you pour it. I’d hope Yeti would update the lid design and replace those that are already in the wild.

Picnic Table, Kitchen Table - it works
Review by an average coffee drinker with her own grinder. This is a wonderful product! Perfect? No, it leaves too much liquid in the bottom. What is great: super durable. Goes in the dishwasher. The lid and plunger can stand up on its own when inverted, say when you are adding the grounds and hot water. This is so key! You don’t have to set the plunger on its side and act surprised when it rolls away. The lock-twist lid works. Does it keep coffee hot for hours? No. But it protects it on a cold day, long enough for your sleepy camp buddy to find it and enjoy. Is it better than an aeropress? No, but you don’t have to remember paper filters or fuss about making americanos for a crowd. Recommend for car camping, RV, and home use if you are a Yeti fan.
Well-Designed
Simplifies the coffee making process. Much easier to clean than my other press, and I no longer need to keep a separate decanter on the counter. This is a well-designed and well-made product. I like the way it separates the grounds from the brewed coffee. The downside things are that it is surprisingly heavy, and that its size limits it to filling my coffee cup 3 times, and I would prefer 4. Also, I can't find any cleaning instructions for the filter; I think maybe the area between the filter screen and the "valve" needs to be opened up and cleaned once in a while. The web link for cleaning instructions shows other "Rambler" products but not the French press.
Very good product, some room for tweaks
Overall, this is an excellent product. I’m thrilled with its durability, ease of cleaning, and insulation (the coffee stays hot for a long time). My biggest criticism is that the plunger itself doesn’t go as far down as I would like. I typically brew 40 grams of coffee plus 410 grams of water, which is all I need to drink on a Saturday or Sunday morning. Even pushing the plunger all the way down, a little water is still left at the bottom with the coffee, so the actual volume of brewed coffee that the French Press yields is not as high as I’d like. This seems easily fixable with a plunger that’s a little longer.
