These new Shimano road shoes are really nice and lightweight. Fake leather but I'm not noticing any stink. Well constructed and they come in pale purple-grey, navy and black. I wish the store had carried Wide width, then I would have been able to get my actual size (38/39) and maybe even one of the other colors carried by the store rather than bumping up to 40 in black only. REI staff told me they do carry the wider width shoes online, just not in the store. For purposes of indoor spinning, they are fine. The three velcro straps to adjust fit hit comfortably at the right places (toe box, instep, ankle) for a good fit.
