Let’s be honest, it’s a rope. But you know what, it does being a rope, really good. Personally, I cut this one up and made some prusics and slings with it and it’s plenty strong for things like rappel extensions or prusics. If you want to make a prusic it takes around 5 feet of cord plus two double fisherman knots. Overall I saved a to on just making my own.
Replacing cordage that is retired from age and wear. Making a couple of prussics for climbing and a couple for my white water pin kit. Probably make a few extras for friends
Used this to make my own custom length prusiks. I was able to get several prusiks out of this for way less cost than pre-made prusiks. It's easy to work with, bends well, holds on rope super well. I wish they had other colors in the store, but green was the only one available at the time.
This is great cord, which I bought to replace the old cord on a Trango Big Bro. No complaints, other that I wish the old-days of cut-to-length cord at REI had not ended... I have a ton of left-overs ;)
