The product description for this backpack is wrong. I just received mine in the mail and it is not Frameless. I am new to hiking backpacks and bought this as a gift for my father. After some research I decided he would like a frameless bag better. Much to my surprise I opened my REI package today this bag has a rigid metal non-removable frame! I had to re-check the product listing and to make sure I wasn't crazy. The product listing on Camelbak's site does not list if a pack is framed vs. frameless, and there are no photos or videos on either site showing the frame so there is no way I could have known this. REI's listing for this item also seems to have size and dimension inconsistencies vs. Camelbak's listing. The red paint on the frame of the bag I received was also chipped in one place. This may turn out to be a fine backpack for my father, but this is not the product I thought I was purchasing.
Does no feel like 26 liters. I'm not sure how the inside is measured but I can fit more in my Gregory nano 22 than I can in this 26 liter pack. I like the comfort, quality and reservoir. It feels like the frame protrudes into the pack taking up the extra space I was looking for. Will definitely be returning.
Pack fits great and is comfortable, but it failed me on its first trip out. Both exterior side pockets tore within hours. The main compartment feels VERY small once the included 3L reservoir is full. Zippers aren’t great. Will be returning.
