To find your size, position a tape measure just above your ears and about 1 in. above your eyebrows. Keep the tape level to measure the circumference around the largest part of your head and then find the corresponding size in the Technical specs info.

Excellent in all respects--shopping is more challenging than back-in-the-day, paradoxically because of the great variety of everything such as style, material, design, and yes, color is an important criterion. My helmet may not be the preferred color, that is what cans of spray paint were invented for. Paint will be, if used, carefully selected for water-based, low VOC and brightness of color. We are thinking of a bright chrome yellow in combination with the olive drab of the frame and black of the panniers. Selections must pass muster with the color coordination committee and if anybody mentions anything about Dijon or hot dogs, they will be coated with relish and something strange will happen after that.

I’m sure it’s a great helmet…
I already own a Mammut climbing helmet that fits somewhat large. I’m a 58 cm head circumference and already own the medium version of the Mammut climbing helmet. Thinking the sizing should be spot on I ordered the 55-59 cm size of this helmet. I couldn’t even get it on my head all the way. I don’t understand why the sizing would be so off.

Big heads rejoice!

If have a big head like me then this is the helmet for you! It's tough for me to find helmets for my big ol dome but this thing is super comfy with no pressure points so long stints wearing this helmet are actually nice. Definitely encourages me to keep a helmet on at the crag!

Massive sizing - like the overall shape
Circumference is 59cm so I went with L because I know mammut's sizing is a bit small for its stated size usually...This helmet is HUGE. Sizing seems a bit off from the rest of Mammut's line. Word to the wise, try on before you buy...

Haute Route
This is-one of the few helmets that fits my head properly ( most important)and finally this years edition came with the cinch/Cobra style adjustment. The last versions were simple straps that did not have a secure feeling.
