Looks great, fits great. I’m really happy with this helmet. Not sure why previous reviewers only gave it one star.
While i own a bike i had not taken a ride in over a decade. My husband on the other hand loves to go for bike rides. During covid i started biking with him pretty regularly and loved it. Before my first covid ride I asked if we needed helmet. He told me he did not wear a helmet, but I could certainly get one if I wanted one. I told him I was only wearing one if he wore one. After noticing that almost everyone wears helmets now I mentioned the observation to my husband and he agreed and asked if I wanted to wear a helmet, i told him the thought had crossed my mind but i was okay. Since then a few times while we were flying down hills i have thought that maybe i should be wearing a helmet but never acted on it. Recently i was in rei and saw the bern major in white. I tried it on and liked the fit so i purchased it. On our next ride i put it on and I was in awe at how well it fit and felt. Not heavy but comfortable and secure. On the first ride it did not move about on my head or i interfere with my sun glasses. After 20 miles i was sold. I am looking forward to many more rides with this helmet as a bonus i also aaw this helmet has high ranks on the Virginia tech website
One problem with these helmets with the pre-installed visor - it blocks your vision unless you want a constant stiff neck/pinched nerve. Simple solution, cut the visor off. You cannot simply remove it, it's part of the construction that makes the helmet fit snugly, but cutting it off works. I learned this from experience.
Comfortable, easy to adjust, I love the visor.
