Slice of sunshine for the Alaskan winter
I ordered this jacket as fall hit us here in coastal Alaska because I was looking for a synthetic jacket warm enough for winter temps that would bring me joy to look at. This is the one! The XS fit is great for a 5’1 115lb person. The arms are nice and long, so no feeling of them riding up. In terms of warmth, this is a great four seasons jacket for AK and in the depth of winter I’ll layer it with plenty of wool layers underneath and a shell on top. The color is true to the photo, bright and fun. Great for alpine adventure.
Rivals Arc’teryx!
I have been looking for a layer warmer than my Arcteryx Atom hoody and this is it! Comparably light, as easily packable and far more wind resistant. It is unbelievably warm as a stand alone layer walking into the wind on a -10 to -15 day in the Rockies. My only complaint is the lack of buffer for the zipper under the chin and the lower quality zippers - they just don’t slide as easily. Overall very satisfied with this purchase.
Amazing spring jacket and layer under ski shell
Bought to replace an older lime green BlackDiamond jacket that I wore in every season and worn out. I ordered the First Light Stretch Hoody and am so happy with it. Very close to the old model but the lining is much nicer and I love the yellow colour. I've been wearing it most days in March in Calgary. On warmer spring days it's my everyday jacket and it's great as a layer under my ski shell too. 10/10 would recommend.
Love this jacket
This is my second of these jackets, I needed a new one after the birth of my daughter. I'm 5'6" and prior to pregnancy was 140lbs, typically wear a medium but I got a large so I could comfortably layer underneath. Medium would be perfect if you only wear light layers, but I'm in Alaska and needed the looser versatility!
love everything about this jacket
color (fig) is gorgeous. the coat is lightweight, and medium warmth, just what i was looking for. I ordered medium, ideal for layering underneath. 5'6"athletic build, usually sleeves are too short for me, this size is perfect (sleeve still covers arm even when stretching it overhead).
Great mid-weight hoody
I got this jacket to replace an old Arcteryx atom hoody. They're very similar, but the BD hoody feels like it has a little more 'puff' to it. Very warm and looks great. I'm 5'5" 135lbs and the small fits well enough that I could still layer a mid-weight layer underneath it.
Women's First Light Stretch Hoody
First of all the color is beautiful! the material is crazy soft. the fit is on point! This will be an integral part of my winter clothing for all winter activities :)
Super comfortable and cool color
Super comfortable and cool color and great quality. It was my first black diamond purchase
