It’s not overly cushioned, which is great for me. Excellent fit and comfort. And you stinky feet people know who you are lol, these are the best by far.

Best wool socks!
Love these socks. Nice every day in the NW socks- which means running errands and hiking in the rain. Were these mens'? I think they're fine for women, too. Nice design.

Love these at work
You can feel the quality difference when you slip these on. My feet never felt better at the end of the day. The socks breath well and are perfect for my office job.

Perfect gift sock!
These hike ankle socks were an early Christmas stocking- stuffer purchase for my son, who had them explicitly on his wish list. He owns many pair as Smartwool is his preferred brand, year after year. They appear to be well made, with soft, comfortable material. As I was wrapping them, they also appear to have a great fit, as it's easy to see the built-in contours. He wears them when out at Scouting adventures with our grandson, and when he's out in the fields at shooting practice. I'm sure he'll be pleased!

These socks are amazing. I was looking for something shorter than a crew sock and saw these and decided to try them. I love that they are Smartwool, which I love, have just the right amount of padding, and are colorful and comfortable.

best socks for summer

These socks stay cool and dry in summer. They're durable and still look new after multiple washings. Just ordered three more pairs. They're not nearly as snug as the old PHD socks but I still use size XL in these, shoe size 11.5 wide.
