It’s Green
So this is more green than black first off! Fit is athletic and the quality is right on prAna’s standard
Just okay
I'm 6'1 male , waist 32" long 34". I bought these pants mostly because of the available sizes with longer legs and slimmer fit. Material feels thin and a bit scratchy / plastic. Sort of functional but not exactly premium feeling. The waist is very open and not tapered or form fitting which makes excess material bunch up under the harness when tightened. These pants feels more like your average stretchy light weight hiking pants, and not something made for rock climbing.
Comfortable pants. Inconsistent sizing.
Prana makes great products but the sizing is weird and in consistent. Previous purchased a pair of Bridger Jeans from a local shop and got size 30/32. The waist fit more like a 29 and the inseam fit true to size. When I got these I sized up to 32 waist and they were so baggy the built-in belt would not cinch up small enough to keep them up. Exchanged them for 30/30 and again found inconsistent sizing. The waist fit is true to size but the inseam fits like a 32.
Great all around pants
These pants check most of the boxes that Prana is known for including quality construction and pretty reliable sizing. The descriptions for travel, "lounging " and casual hiking are accurate. However, as the name might suggest, I'm not sure that the material would actually hold up to J-tree granite very long, maybe. That said, they are extremely comfortable and versatile.
Everyday wear looks + climbing stretch
I actually prefer the Stretch Zion pants I have over these. The Wonderland is a tighter fit, especially at the bottom of the leg where it tapers, and the fabric is a bit thinner. These look more "normal" for everyday wear, but at the climbing gym or while hiking they're a bit less functional (no thigh pocket or roll-up snaps). Don't get me wrong - these are still great for climbing with plenty of stretch in the fabric and the crotch area gussets mean you've got plenty of flexibility for those big wide leg moves on the wall, but comfort-wise I prefer a bit more bagginess. These do slightly wrinkle but they're easy to iron. And they don't have reinforced knees so you won't want to knee into rough surfaces too much. But the stitching is the prAna quality level you'd expect, the pockets are nicely sized, and the integrated belt is always nice. Overall I'm pretty happy with them but will go back to the Zion or another cut next time.
Save your time and your money.
I have been wearing Prana climbing pants since you sponsored my climbing team in 2000. Every iteration is worse than the last. Every single pair, slim fit or not, are like a sail for a boat; A pair of MC Hammers parachute pants. Pure hot garbage. An outrageous price too. You people have left me no choice but to pursue a better brand. Good riddance.
Similar to Zion pants but not as nice
These pants are like the Zion stretch fabric but without the side pocket, and slightly thinner and skinnier. I returned them, I couldn't see a use case where these were better. Also, the plasticy fabric makes you feel gross after a couple hours. Prana, when are you going to learn!
Great travel or everyday pants
True to size, comfortable fit with stretch. Great for travel. They pack small, not heavy in warmer climates. The stretch allows you to move freely and hike or climb more rough terrain. They wear well and dry quickly. Keeps you looking neat and fresh on trips.
Too baggy.
Ordered a pair and had to return. They were wildly baggy in the front. Someone said "MC Hammer Pants" but that would be cooler than the truth. They make you look like you're wearing a saggy diaper backwards. Returned to hopefully get something better fitting
Disappointed with fit and lack of belt loops
Comfortable but droopy. Biggest downside is no belt loops. I’m a daily belt wearer and didn’t expect technical pants to not include belt loops. These will spend a lot of time on the closet and not worn.
