We thought we were getting brand new cases.
One case was not new and the outer tags were not attached to the case and the wheels were obviously used(Not sure whether rolled around the store, or outside). While the other was wrapped in plastic had tags attached, and the wheels were not rolled around on some odd surface. We wonder if the one case was from the REI Outlet, or display model.
Gregory wins over Away
Bought this bag in Anchorage from REI to replace a bag that cracked. When we read about the polycarbonate materials used in the bag and the strength of the zippers we made the purchase. We used it for both our land tour of 10 days and our 7 day cruise. It preformed perfectly. We have Away carryon bags and look for an Away store but there is not one in Anchorage. The wheels rolled better on carpet. The Gregory 28” Quattro was less expensive and compared favorably to the Away comparable model. Knowing what I know now I would choose Gregory over Away for this size bag.
Traveling in Iceland
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] #giftedproduct Very durable, ruggedized wheels work great and make it easy to push or pull. Sturdy pop up handle. Interior zipper on half suitcase helps with organizing your contents. Other side has active shield. As this suitcase is designed with a half half distribution with zippers down the center the handles are offset which can make it cumbersome for trying to lift the suitcase from the luggage conveyor belt. One round trip international flight and it still looks new. Cleans up easily as it had to sit out in the snow and rain waiting for the bus to arrive. I would recommend use of travel bags to organize and contain underwear, shirts, socks, etc.
Great travel suitcase!
The material is very sturdy but still very light weight. I have been using it on a couple of short trips and has done well. Next is the three international trips I have coming up. This will definitely be coming with. This item is for anyone, your everyday traveler as well as someone who may travel once or twice a year. Great investment in my opinion. Don’t forget to pair it with Gregory’s backpacks as well for a carry on.
Disappointing Trunk Spinner Luggage
While the shell is sturdy and lightweight, the latch pull handle failed and won’t retract. The zipper pulls for expansion ripped off; not a good design. Lifetime warranty is a joke as you have to ship it for repair at your cost ($$$).
Gregory Suitcase
We borrowed a 30" Gregory suitcase from our son to take on a couple of vacations that we purchased our own. The 30" was no longer available but we bought a 28". They are really good quality bags.
High quality and looks great
Got this so my wife and I could travel more. It’s large enough for all our stuff when traveling for multiple days at a time! Perfect.
Great luggage
Great durable quality and the wheels are well made. The compartments make traveling a lot easier.
Nice Bag
Huge and roomy. The waterproof side worked great. The rolling mechanisms are flawless.
