I bought this on Dec 5th, and opened it at Christmas, have been wearing it off and on for basic stuff like dog-walking and grocery shopping just to try it out before taking it to Aspen in March. Just sitting down in my car with the coat zipped caused the zipper to split (I am average weight, no boulder tummy). I also had to wear several layers to not freeze in 30 degree weather. This is a beautiful coat, but it’s objectively poor quality and not warm enough for the mountains. I love Picture’s under layers but this coat is a massive waste for $440
I was looking for a warmer ski jacket without the bulk, and the Goods jacket is perfect for my needs. I'm 6'2" and 195 lbs and usually take a Large, but went with the XL because the length of the Large isn't long enough for my height. Again, I was looking for a warmer jacket, so I can layer up easily with the XL. I like the knobby texture as well, jacket has a stylish look too.
I'm a fan of Picture clothing and I this Jacket no exception to the trend. I like how light it is because I do get hot while riding quite quickly. All the vents and pockets makes the jacket very usable for my body type. If you get cold easily you may want more insulation or get that mid layer on. the fit is nice as its not that longer waist so its length is a true "jacket" not a bit longer like say a parka. Its got all the bells with the power belt and Velcro and quality zippers. With lots of pocket a goggle wipe about the only thing I can thing that is a bit strange is the high pass pocket. Not all resorts have the sensor exactly at the height the pocket is at. That's why a sleeve pocket for the pass is the best, because you can raise and lower your arm to hit the sensor pretty much every time. Its such a small detail though, so it's not even close to being a deal break. Buy if you enjoy the style, you won't regret it!
I bought 6 or so ski jackets to try them out. I didn't keep this one because it ran small. Also, the zipper is reverse of the standard (the part that goes up is on the left) which seemed like it would be hard to get used to.
