North Face Router
I only purchased this one because the smaller North Face backpack was out of stock. The smaller one lasted me for several years and was only recently damaged beyond what a manufacturer could expect. This one has the same premium quality that I experienced before with North Face products. I'm slightly larger than the average person (6'4, 250 plus) and this backpack fits me comfortably. It holds a lot, and has is really comfortable to wear and easy to pack. I highly recommend it!

Horrible quality, plan for one year use max
After one year of regular use for school, the backpack is ruined. And their warranty is a joke. Never buying NF backpacks again.

Very sturdy and spacious backpack

I believe this backpack is perfect for travel, whether by airplane or car. It's very spacious and has plenty of pockets for organization. Plus, there's enough room for a computer or tablet, which I really appreciate. I love it!

Do not buy!

Poor quality. After a little over 3 months of use as a high school student's backpack, one of the shoulder straps is detaching from the backpack. Customer service refused to replace.

The shoulder straps will tear

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought two. One for my 7th grader and the other for my freshman. Within a year the "reinforced" shoulder straps started to fray at the connection to the back. I forgot to use the warranty to get it replaced the summer after that school year so we made it through the second year with just a few threads holding the straps to the pack. Just submitted a warranty claim today. My kids are nerds and bring home a load of books and binders every night. If your kid is a slacker this will probably hold up just fine with the weight of a tablet, some pencils, and a lunch.

Perfect Blend of Style, Comfort, and Functionality!

After years of my daughter choosing backpacks solely based on looks, she finally listened to my advice and opted for the North Face Router Backpack (40L). What a game-changer! She now carries all her school books throughout the day without needing to constantly visit her locker, and thanks to the ergonomic design, her back doesn't hurt anymore. Not only is it incredibly functional with ample space and organization, but the sleek look and stylish design have made it her favorite for school, sports, and even travel. This backpack truly ticks all the boxes-comfortable, durable, and versatile. A total win! Thank you, North Face!

Shoulder strap tears off like my last NF backpack

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Had this backpack less than two months while traveling and its should strap is falling apart. This is the second NF backpack that's done this to me and this pack was the replacement, the quality and warranty of NF products I think are just for life style use cases and not for actual use. Warranty replacements are pretty much useless if you don't have months to wait to get the backpack back. The way the strap is constructed also makes it pretty close to impossible to fix.

Dissapointed - Poor Quality

Ordered this Router to replace a Borealis which NF claims they could not repair. Out of the bag, the quality of the router seemed considerably less than that of my older Borealis. Less than three weeks later, the stitching started separating. Called customer service and the guy I talked to was rude. Not sure why NF cannot send me a replacement. Every time I do this review I get a follow up email to leave another review. My review has yet to show up on the NF website.

Great buy for high school student

This was for my freshman daughter for high school and at first she wasn't thrilled to have a plain black and bigger size backpack to carry around. But after a week using it she tells me she loves it! She can fit all her books, notebooks, laptop, water bottle, and all her other miscellaneous personal items and still have room for even more stuff. This was a great buy which she can use for many years to come in school.
