I have been walking my dog for 18 months on a local common the ground is not even with humps and bumps all over … previously I wore wellies in the wet and trainers in the dry… both not comfortable for the environment we are walking in… these new Salomons are perfect for both wet and dry … comfortable and secure on my feet … so pleased I bought them
I bought these to wear on my recent walking holiday in the Sierra Nevada, Spain. They didn't disappoint. Sturdy, light and comfortable. The gave excellent support on uneven terrain. And good to look at too
I wore these on a recent hike and they were very nice. It was my first hike with them and they had no real break in period. I didn’t get any blisters from them even though it was my first time wearing them. I also really love the colors. Pros: no break in period/ no blisters, very good traction, water proof. Cons: they’re kind of heavy if you’re looking for something lighter for longer trails, I wish they had slightly more ankle support. They mention being water proof but I didn’t walk through water to test them out unfortunately.
These are my first hiking boots, and they did not disappoint. They’re very comfortable—I have wide feet and didn’t need to break them in at all. I usually wear a size 6 wide or a standard 6.5, and I went with a size 7, which fit perfectly. I wore them while hiking the Seven Rila Lakes, and they held up great. They’re also surprisingly lightweight, which made the trek even easier.
I bought these boots about 6 months ago and will need to replace them due to poor quality on the rubber sole and the mesh. I'm very disappointed in these ones. For reference I use hiking boots frequently and I had a pair of Lowa's that I loved and lasted me years. However, within 2 months of wearing these the rubber sole started to crumble and break, and within 5 months there were actual holes in the mesh. I will not be purchasing this brand again.
I have bought Salomon b4 over the years & found them true to the description, apart from the waterproofing, first pair lasted 5 years, would u believe it!, from then on never had another pair that lasted more than 18 months, what’s gone wrong with the manufacturer, the soles wear out within 6 months, this latest pair look good were comfortable for the first few weeks, but NOW are torture to wear, seem to tighten with every step, no matter how many times I re-adjust them, any suggestions anyone?
Wet socks on first outing, whats happened to Salamon they used to be a fantastic brand. We have bought 3 paiits of boots and 1 pair of shoes in last 2 years. Every pair has been a disappointment. These boots all let in water, the gore tex material should repel the water instead it lets it in. 2 pairs of the boots we bought cracked significantly and now can only be worn in bone dry conditions. Expensive boots shocking quality, we will never buy salamon again
I bought these quite recently to replace a pair of Salomon boots which I've had for 9 years and worn a lot! I've been out on a few long walks/hikes with them and they are very comfortable. I really like the colours. I did have to get half a size larger than my normal size and the previous pair. Have already recommended them to a friend who was looking at boots.
I love Salomon but not these. I can’t lace them without discomfort along the outside. Not sure if these are faulty. The lacing system does not evenly distribute pressure. Basically it creates plastic ridges and folds that digs in. Tried different volume insoles and bizarre lacing options but nothing sorts.. disappointing as Quest and Outcast are great…
I’ve brought this out and about 10 to 12 times perfect in every way. Very stable on rocks and all different terrain. Very comfortable and they support you in every way and it’s waterproof. For reference I am a men’s size 10 1/2. I purchased this in a size 11 women’s but I could care less they fit great and are awesome.
