I got the GTX and the LL version of the Camino. They are both equally phenomenal boots. Neither is hot to wear, both might be the best conceived boots I’ve ever worn. But the leather lined version is my favorite, it fits so comfortably next to your foot it is almost hugging your sock. A beautiful product. I wear size 10 wide Hokas, but a normal size 9 in this was perfect for me. Snug through the mid foot and plenty of room in the toe box to wriggle my toes.
I love these boots. I bought them after I rolled and sprained my ankle in a pair of hiking shoes. I returned the hiking shoes and wanted a boot that would protect my feet and make me bomb-proof. These boots fit great and protect my feet. I like the firm sole—it supports my feet on uneven surfaces, and I can step on the point of a rock with no problem. I bought these about four years ago and have probably backpacked around 75 miles a year in them. Most importantly, because these boots are so rugged, they make your feet and ankles feel nearly invincible. I admit they’re a little heavy and hot, and you'll want a decently thick sock to get a perfect fit. These are killer boots, and I highly recommend them in terms of performance and construction. Plus, they look super cool and hardcore.
This a review for REI, you sent the wrong boot, I received the Camino Evo GTX, NOT the Evo LL!
