Measurements are stated in inches unless otherwise indicated. Size chart values represent body measurements, not garment measurements.
SHORT: Some pants are available in short sizes, which generally means an inseam that is 2.5 inches shorter than regular sizes.
TALL: Some pants, shirts, jackets and parkas are available in tall sizes, which generally means an inseam that is 3 inches longer and a rise that is 1 inch longer, a shirt or jacket body that is 2 inches longer, a parka body that is 2.5 inches longer and sleeves that are 2.5 inches longer than regular sizes.
Capri or cropped pants have an intentionally shorter inseam—reference the technical specs instead of this chart.
Inseam is measured to the floor.

These pants are lightweight, packable, comfortable, and weather resistant. The awesome half-cuffs on the ankles is something I have not seen before, and they allow you the cuff your pants while remaining close to the leg and looking like a normal pant leg. The crotch gussett is awesome, and the stretch is just right. The stretchy waist WITH belt loops is hard to find in any trail pants. The leg pocket is easy to open and close with one hand. The only thing I do not like is the side-cut pockets. I can’t clip my pocketknife to them, and smaller objects like to fall out. If these had horizontal pockets cut like jeans, they would be perfection.
Bigger woman but wear men’s clothing. These pants are amazing. I now have one in each color and may get more black. I’m a nurse and wear the black ones to work all the time. I’ve worn them hiking, camping, and casual too. Literally my fave pants I’ve ever owned. They’re comfy but also nice enough to wear out to a restaurant and not look like I’m wearing sweat pants. Fabric quality seems good. As a bigger person my thighs rub together and I’ve seen no wear and tear in that part. I’ll probably continue wearing these in the CO winter- they’re comfy enough that a base layer under them won’t be too much.
So I got these pants and I was feeling sleepy so I said what the heck, let’s put them to the ultra comfort test first thing. Slept like a baby for a nice nap. No bunching, no overheating just pleasant dreams. Step 2 let’s test them walking… comfort, no swish, water repellent, stretchy, no belt digging into the waist. Perfect. Final test, let’s wear these out for the day in public. They passed the eye test for being just a regular pair of pants and not ultra comfortable joggers. Ankle is looser than typical joggers so no circulation being compromised. I’ve even used them for Jiu Jitsu already. I loved them so much I immediately ordered a second color. Thank you for this product.
I have a 34-inch inseam and don't like conventional short-length hiking pants. The tall version came right to the tops of my shoes, long enough that I could wear the dark-color version in the city, too. The lightweight fabric meant the cinch-waist was sufficient: No belt needed. Yet the weight was surprisingly comfortable, both on vigorous warmer-weather hikes and while standing on a mountain lookout in a cold wind that numbed my gloved-covered hands. The zip pocket kept safe items like the hotel key. And when I got hit by a rainstorm, these shed water like champs. These are so perfect that I will use these instead of jeans when traveling, and not just on hikes.
I love my rei trailmade pants, with the string you can tie on the inside of the pants. These joggers are almost the exact same thing, but they swapped the tried and true shoestring for an elastic band that will not stay tight. After walking a few steps on level ground the waist band completely loosens itself unless you put an overhand in it. Not a problem if you don’t use your pockets I guess. I will likely cut the elastic band and use these pants with a belt in the future. The plastic cinch thing that is SUPPOSED to retain the waist band is in a bad spot for wearing a belt, hence the modification. I would recommend you buy the regular trailmade pants instead if you plan to hike.
Bought these along with some other hiking pants and shorts due to weight gain from quitting smoking. First off, I’m 6’3” weight is around 240ish and normally I’m 36-34 but with weight gain I’m now around 39”. First thing I noticed was the tag with the size XL-Tall and I got excited. Went to try them on and they fit perfectly. I’m not one for tapered jeans and these have that tapered fit being joggers and they felt great. Perfect in the waist and the ankle cuffs aren’t tight to cut circulation. They rest right above my ankle bone. Easy and comfortable to sleep in as well. Just an all around comfortable pant to wear. I plan on buying a couple more in other colors.
These pants did not meet my expectations. I liked them at first. On the surface they seemed like a good product. They fit me well and of course they were brand new. I took them on an adventure trip to Alaska and I ended up wishing I had my 20 year old hiking pants that these replaced. The cinch at the waist turned out to be poorly designed and eventually broke. Over the course of the trip I grew to dislike the pockets...not exactly sure why. bad angle? my hand is too big? and the side pocket zipper was not so easy to open without two hands. I think next time I will spend a little more and a better designed product.
The Large Tall aspect of these joggers are phenomenal! I’ve bought multiple large joggers from other companies that don’t off there tall option and they always shrink to capris. These are very comfy and the waistband isn’t squeezing my waist. I wore them for daily use and doing leg day in the gym. They are universal! I think there need to come out with more color options. Best joggers I own.
Bought this in a medium in two colors: blue and rust. Like the blue and can live with the rust as it was 50% off. Sizing, inseam length, quality of work was consistent for both pairs. Beware that the inseam is only 29” which is great for short guys like me but could be a problem for anyone over 5’8”. I use them for tennis and lounging around as they stretch and are comfortable. They don’t get me overheated in a match during the fall and winter. Probably won’t wear them come summer. Because of the taper at the ankle, not suitable as warm up pants over playing shorts. Seems durable enough and lightweight. Used them for three months now without any issues. Good value compared to other worthy brands.
Great fit but if your tall, get the tall size. I'm 6'0/180 lbs/ waist 32x32 jeans...i went with a Medium-Tall. The regular medium length was a bit short. so just make sure you try it on. Feels great, light weight and good materials.
