Not sure how these don’t have any reviews. I have tried SO many climbing shoes, and I always choose these. I’m on my third pair. They are aggressive, but comfortable, and I like the Velcro straps.
I love these climbing shoes. I have a narrow foot, and they are snug enough that my heel doesn’t slip out and there’s no gaping around the ankle, but loose enough that they don’t bother my Achilles tendon. They are fairly aggressive and work great in the gym, and I’ve also worn them outside on longer multi-pitch climbs. A great overall climbing shoes!
I’ve had these shoes for a year and they are great. I’m a guy but I found the women’s Otaki fit my foot better so I went with that. I’ve had trouble with my heels being loose in climbing shoes but they fit really nice and snug in these. I have narrow feet and the fit was great with no pockets anywhere. The rubber on the shoe is durable and grippy. This shoe crushes overhanging routes and tiny footholds. Only complaint is I went about a half size too small but that was completely my fault and not had nothing to do with the shoe itself. Would definitely recommend this shoe to another climber.
I had major foot surgery about a year ago. Completely changed the structure of my foot and was bummed I couldn't wear my super aggressive shoes anymore (Solutions). I tried these on and FELL IN LOVE. They are a perfect compromise between an all around shoe, yet have the great high quality rubber. Be warned, the colors are very bright in person. Would recommend to any boulderer, especially one that Solutions don't work, or they are looking for a technical, but less aggressive fitting shoe.
These are a perfect combo with a stiff toe at the very tip but maleable under your toe for maxable contact with rock. I am a much more confident climber with these - it really feels like my foot will stick to anything. I have had them for 4 months and I am buying another TWO pair now because I don't want to miss out if they stop making this particular pair. I have Mauro and Instincts and had resoled my instincts twice before I found these (totally solid shoe) but this is even better!
I wear a 39 street/approach shoe and a 37.5 in the Otaki. They fit perfectly after a few sessions (tight out of the box). This is my go-to shoe for sport climbing and I also use it at the gym (routes and bouldering). It edges well and is equally at home on steep routes. The velcro closure is easy on and off and also easy to adjust for a snugger more precise fit if I need it. I have a wide toe box and these work well for me - I'll definitely buy these again.
These are powerful and fit my heal incredibly well, they become the shape of my foot after a break in period and are incredibly precise while being comfortable. They are my sending shoes in the Buttermilks, Ecstasy Arête in Pine Creek and on the steep limestone tufas of Europe. Love the down turned tow, it grabs holds for you, but also works on slabs!
They took a couple days to break in, but once they did, the edging capabilities of these shoes were immaculate. They stick to everything. Also love how the stiffness of the shoe doesn't totally compromise their sensitivity. SO good for vertical terrain, but the slightly aggressive fit allows me to feel confident when the walls get steep too.
I’m a guy with narrow feet and the lower volume womens shoe was perfect for me. This shoe is great on over hangs, grips onto tiny foot holds, and heel hooks well. I use them for everything from indoor bouldering to sport outside and it crushes everything. Took a while to break in but once it did I find them pretty comfortable.
Greatest. Shoe. Ever. I use these for everything and think the fit is the best that Sportiva has done to date. You can heel hook like a dream and they just excel at everything (though I haven't crack climbed in them and might not). They do stretch a good bit so you can size down pretty tight.
