Style or Flaw?

I usually love Hokas. But, this new pair I just bought are super tight across the top and the tongue is sewn in place and won't move so loosening the shoe strings doesn't make any difference. I don't know if this is the style or a flaw. I had to cut on both sides of the tongue to get them to fit comfortably. Other than that they are great shoes.

Sole is too light duty - planned obsolescence

I've been running in Hoka Clifton for years, my go to for comfort & long miles. The Gore-tex version was a no brainer for rain. Fine for comfort/fit, but I'm returning without running in them. The soles are the same light duty rubber as regular Clifton which seems obviously designed to wear out after a few hundred miles so I have to keep buying more. Any shoe, but particularly a Gore-tex shoe should be beefier on the soles. Will likely try the Brooks Cascadia 19, which look sturdier and grippier.

Clifton 9 GTX fits about same as Clifton 9 Regular

I have many Cliftons and Clifton 9 but these are my first GTX shoes to wear plein air painting this fall in Dordogne and got the GTX since might rain. The got the same size as my regular Clifton's and the GTX might be slightly more snug but comfortable around the house so far.

makes walking or running very well

I just purchased this shoe and it's perfect and comfortable, I read the first review about the tongue being sewn on but my shoes don't have that problem the tongue is not sewn and I can move it around . the only thing I can say is the back of the heel is a little stiff but so far it doesn't hurt so all in all I am happy the clifton 10 for women.

Great fitting Hokas with Gore-tex!

So comfortable and feels like I am walking on air! The Goretex material adds firmer support and keeps my feet dry on rainy days!.
