Wonderful shoe
I love this shoe. I had been running in the Speedgoats and wanted something a little less...everything. I have a long and low volume foot and these fit wonderfully. I ran the Catalina 50 in January in them (so a lot of fireroads) and they were wonderful to train and race in. Just bought my second pair.

Wide and Sloppy with Poor Tread for Mixed Terrain
I’ve been wearing the Torrents for years. I was unhappy with the lack of tread on the 3s and I hoped the 4s would be better. The shoes are extremely comfortable and cushy but they are wide and sloppy for my narrow foot, even with a heel lock. The tread looks and feels grippy but it is not. I slip slide around on the wet and greasy PNW terrain, as well as technical dry terrain, unlike the 1s and 2s which had decent tread.

Truly Fantastic Shoe!!

I have been wearing the torrent 3's and have really been impressed with them! I was excited to try the torrent 4 because I heard about the wider toe box... just purchased my first pair a week ago and they are absolutely perfect for me! Straight out of the box and onto a four hour trail day with not one blister and not one problem! I didn't think it was possible to have something more comfortable than the torrent 3's, but the torrent 4's have certainly exceeded my expectations! Well constructed, stable, and exceptionally comfortable! I am online today purchasing the other two colours!! One more note, while these are not considered golf shoes, I am also wearing them for golf!!

Too wide

I loved the previous torrent models and have been running in them for 4 years! Unfortunately this model is much wider and my foot slips around too much, contributing to blisters during long runs. They are comfortable for walking around, but I would not recommend for sustained efforts.

Extra room in toe area

I am a true 7.5. There was a lot of extra room in the toe area, not length but width. I felt like my feet, in the toe area were moving around and my feet were not secure. Other than that, they were comfy. Returned for something that fit better.

Love the Torrents!

I LOVE my torrents 3 and now excited to try the 4. There are some mixed reviews but like I said, the torrent 3 are fantastic. I've worn them for my daily 4 mile walk for at least 8-9 months. They need replacing and I'll be happily looking forward to my Torrent 4.

Happy narrow feet

I have triple A feet and orthotics the 10 B, has a stable platform, decent grip on the tread, plus room for my toes, and no discomfort on rocky uneven ground.
