Smartwool  Cozy Cabin Hat

I love this hat because it is: warm, breathes well, and is comfortable (not too tight). I also have the 100% wool hat called the Thermal Merino. I like that one also, but I find the Cabin hat actually breathes better AND is warmer in extreme cold. My head is on the larger side, and I also find the Cabin hat much more comfortable - not loose, not too tight. Awesome hat overall.

Has wool, so a bit itchy, but fit well, is warm, and looked cute. I started wearing a liner underneath, and I now don’t notice the wool so much.

I have a larger head and lots of hair, so this beanie feels great--plus I can fold the edges however I like, depending on whether my hair is worn up or down. I have other Smartwool. caps that I really like and wear often, but this one probably has the most accommodating fit to my head. I'm very pleased with it's high quality; the taupe color is also very rich and goes with EVERYTHING. I like that this beanie is over 50% wool (55%) because I run cold. This one really stops the chill from coming through. I look forward to wearing it all winter long. Very nice cap, Smartwool!

Well, let's just say I needed this. Prior to procurement of this beanie, my head could only be adorned with a neon orange hunting cap. The thing did it's job, but boy was it unsightly, and not very warm, for any other task. Glee is the best word to describe my initial feeling upon obtaining this hat around the holiday season. A cozier cabin everywhere I went was soon to become indeed! This beanie is toasty warm, but also does well to wick away head sweat in events of high energy output. And man does it look sharp too!

I got one of these as a gift several years ago, and I've really loved it, for the most part. I think the fit and style is great, because you can make it work for your own features. However… the color and heather-style knit has never been right for me. I am BEGGING you to make this exact hat in, simply, BLACK. Or, at least a dark gray? This is a good hat, but it could be simpler, more elegant and adaptable, and that would make it the best hat ever.

LOVE the knit fabric—no pulls or pills—soft—warm. Love the understated logo. Needs a 6 panel stitched top rather than a 4 panel to avoid looking like a Peruvian Guide Hat. With a 6 panel top would look more like a watch cap and fit the skull without lumps and bumps as is the current case. At present it is a tad too big for most folks. No itch wool is awesome. Covered my big head and ears.

Truly a quality 3-season beanie that is majority merino wool and therefore warm, durable, and comfortable. I now have 4 of these (an assortment of colors). Each one was purchased at different times and while the price may seem steep for a beanie, I can only say that the qualtiy materials and workmanship make this item worth it. I've tried other brands. Nothing else comes close.

Functional wool cap of mid-weight. Most would think it large enough, but I would like just a little more length to thoroughly cover ears. I'll use it in combo with a lighter wool underneath, when I need more warmth. This will be great for chilly spring days. I especially wish they had had more colors / prints in this one.

I already had one copy of this hat, and sometimes when I really like something I buy multiple copies. This was the case here…. This hat is soft and very cozy. So easy to wear and so easy to look terrific with it on. Also unlike some of my many other hats it is not calling attention to itself. (Looking at you, gaucho!)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Although the products are a little pricey my son buys a lot of the shirts and socks so I thought I would try a head cap. It's very light and very warm and soft. Bring on the snow! Maybe if I win the ""Sweepstakes"" I could spend it all on your products. I really like your shirts but I like to eat also. . . lol.
