Bought these for my 18 year old son. My husband has them as well. They both love them. Great pockets, good fit. Not too much insulation and the fit accommodates extra layers if needed.
Good: I used these to snowboard multiple times, and they kept me dry and warm in the cold weather. They also helped when I got stuck on a snowy trail and had to dig out my truck and install snow chains. Bad: The Velcro waist cinch presses on my hips and is uncomfortable when I bend to strap and unstrap my bindings. This is very irritating after a dozen runs. They may be a size too large for me (xl), but I don’t know because the REI store did not have the size large in stock.
Awesome! I’ve been skiing in the same pair of ski pants for over 20 years and I was hesitant to give them up, but they were finally wearing out. I should’ve bought these years ago. Light weight and warm beyond belief. I really didn’t think they would be warm enough and was pleasantly surprised by how incredibly warm they were on a cold windy day with freezing rain. I wore these with just a thin base layer and was comfortable all day. Definitely a win for North Face.
I bought the large pair, and it's still to small ion the waist. I generally wear a size 34 waist, and figuring a little extra room for warm clothes, I bought the large. In short, I am returning them. Nice, functional style, but if it doesn't fit...
Just the room needed for outerwear, without unnecessary bagginess. The inner thigh zippers allow cooling ventilation when needed.
Only used them once but very happy so far! If durability becomes an issue I will amend this review.
The fit is great, exactly the pants i was looking for. Would be nice to have suspenders with them.
Fits great, wanted the shell version for warmer days
